| Which and why? BTW, I've owned a G3 full size in the past and it was impressive. I've owned LC9S before too and it was decent. Is the Max-9 just a double stack LC9S? |

It’ll be curious to see the consensus, but for slightly more money, I’d be inclined to get a SW SD 2.0. I’d be a bit hesitant with either the Max 9 or the G3c based 100% on “feels” which is a fairly poor indicator. I’d lean Taurus between those two based on features. |

I like the feel of the ruger and the taurus. Taurus seems to do okay with their polymer guns but I still don't know if I would chance it. I'd get the Ruger just based on customer service. The cheap Ruger is optic ready but only comes with one mag so $25 for an extra or $45 for a two pack of mags. I'd maybe consider the sku that comes with the Ruger ready dot but would skip the Viridian sku. If the capacity thing is an issue then maybe you want the taurus as stated earlier but it's a carry gun so I would not worry about getting a 20 rd mag. Also note, the G3 has the second strike ability. I have max btw. No complaints other than the shity Viridian option that I wasted $50 on...still sitting in the box and have no idea what to do with it. I may mount it one day just to try out an optic but don't think I would carry it. |

I've shot both...my vote goes to the Taurus. The G3C has a better trigger, larger grip, and is easier to shoot and it has a larger magazine capacity, though it is a couple ounces heavier and about a quarter inch thicker so it probably wouldn't carry as nice. I tend to opt for shootability over comfort. |

Two Rugers, one Kahr P380 the rugers are cheap pieces crap but carry well and shoot when needed. The Kahr is everything a small .380 should be. Remember that these guns are made to be used at close range, if one magazine isn't enough then your target is to far away or you need to practice more. |

Has Taurus said they're actually discontinuing the G3C? They've kept the G2C in production alongside it for so many years. Although at some point, they should trim down the line with the GX4 and GX2 series adding more versions, plus the TaurusXT series. |
Froot Loops are all the same flavor. They just taste like froot. Whatever the heck that is.

I'm not one to just buy a gun without really researching it or having a purpose, but for ~400 bucks, I've been tempted to get one and compare it to my Echelon 4.0c for the fun of it. |

Beretta APX A1 carry. I have three, great inexpensive, single stack carry. The trigger sucks on new ones, they improve with use. They're made in Tennessee, with the rebate I paid $180 for the most expensive one, the other two were around $160 with rebate, which is did get. In fact on one Beretta accidentally sent two $50 checks. I stuck the extra one in a drawer somewhere. |

I've been carrying a G2C for 8 years. 100% reliability, very good trigger, restrike capability, tactile loaded chamber indicator, and very easy to carry concealed. All for $200 otd when I bought it. Long past 5000 rounds with no issues. I did replace the recoil spring assembly and striker sleeve with stainless parts from LakelineLLC just for the added durability it offers. Fiber optic sights because I see them much better and faster. And not being a fan of trigger safeties, I put in solid trigger from Keep Tinkering. The frame mounted safety negates the need for a trigger safety in my world. I'm all in at $300, for a pistol that checks all the boxes for me. And, if it were ever to end up in an evidence locker, no worries. I like the setup so well I bought a second pistol, made all the same mods on it, tested it with 500 rounds, cleaned it and put it in the bottom of my safe. One is none etc. That being said, I have 7 other 9mm pistols including Sig, CZ, Kahr, Rost Martin to name a few. All great guns. The price, reliability, features, fit in my hand just makes the Taurus G2C a very solid choice for me. I honestly don't think there's a better choice out there in the $2-300 price range. ymmv. |

I agree ^^^. I've tricked out two PT111G2's in the past with Keep Tinkering triggers and Lakeline parts. They are a special gun that haters like to poop on. I have had good luck with Taurus pistols all the way back to the PT 140 Millennium Pro. Since then the G2C, G3C, GX4, GX4 Carry, and TX9 Compact. My GX4 did shed the ejector during its first mag when new. Taurus paid shipping both ways and had it fixed in just under 3 weeks. |

Maybe not as tiny, but compact and sized for EDC. The heading is "battle of the EDC. The Sar is a solid competitor. |

I agree ^^^. I've tricked out two PT111G2's in the past with Keep Tinkering triggers and Lakeline parts. They are a special gun that haters like to poop on. Probably b/c the PT111 "G1" had a sear that worked 101% of the time you pulled the trigger. Hence the sleeper G2 & G3. Only one of my distributors still has the G3C in stock. |

Plus DA pull is really heavy and cocked and locked isn't my favorite. I can simply ignore the safety on my G3C. |

I bought a Max 9 for the wife, as she wanted something smaller than the G19 I offered her as a carry gun. I know she isn't going to go put hundreds of rounds through it. She can shoot, but she's not as enthusiastic about practicing as I am. I wanted to make sure I gave her something trustworthy, so I took it and shot the piss out of it with some different defensive loads: gold dots and a couple others. I also put a couple hundred rounds of bulk FMJ through for a break-in. I had a couple of FTFs with Winchester hollow points. I forget the style. I just remember they are Winchester, and I bought them by 50-round box at cabela's. It was the bullet shape - not quite round enough at the end. No issues at all with any other ammo. Honestly, I liked it more than I thought I would. I was just hoping for something functional that didn't break the bank, but it shoots well and accurately. The trigger is actually pretty good, especially compared to the Dagger I was shooting along with it. I can't tell you it's better than X pistol, but I can comfortably endorse it. Heck, I wouldn't hesitate to carry one. |
