Brown Santa delivered some goodness from the boys at Battle Werx this morning. G19 EPS cut with no rear dovetail. Black nitride refinish. The optic will be absolutely buried into the slide at 0.1705" cut depth. One reason I went with Battle Werx was the depth of milling per other reviews. Work was flawless. Was also on sale--$100. 7 week turnaround. Full disclosure: this was my first optic cut. I even bought a spare G19 slide incase of a screwup. Order with confidence. I've used BW a few times. Most recently for a Glock 43X milled for a Holosun EPS Carry. I sent the slide, optic, and sights and they installed everything. Attached File |

Attached File They got that RMR-HD in there deeeeep. Which is nice since it’s fairly tall. That and the fact that they use the Zev style cut is what sold me. I wish they did other firearms. Oh, and it was really nice to be able to order irons from them and know exactly what size to get for the cowitness you want. |

They have milled 3 slides for me. Two for the EPS footprint with irons forward. One is for the Glock MOS (my foolish decision. Nothing wrong with their work). All are outstanding. I love the way they mill with the post screws so that the RDS sits low. I am about to send a 4th slide to them. I just wish they offer an option to mill front serrations to a Gen 3 slide like Maple Leaf does. |

I used Battle Werx and mine was great. Went with .250 sights for a super low cowitness. I skipped the refinish so the time around was SUPER fast. Just hit it with some LPS3 anti corrosion spray on the cut before installing the RMR. Been great for like 4+ years.

Battlewerx has milled and refinished 4 slides for me. I’ve been overly impressed by their work. 2 of the slides are milled for the EPS with irons forward. Love it. My next milled I’ll just delete the rear irons. Front irons alone is good enough if the RDS ever fails. |

BWI actually answers if you have a question or issue. That put them head and shoulders over two other places I have used. Nitride is the way to go. These days I remove the rear sight but leave the dove tail. I ever sell the gun I will likely replace the rear sight and use the optic for something else. |

I have 1 JW slide (shallow cut but still well done) and probably 4-5 BW slides, which are far deeper into the slide. Lots of the new US Glocks slide finish is pretty 'meh', especially the ones with DE frames and black slides. The BW Nitride after the optic cut is far superior. |

BW did this G19 for me just last month. Milled and nitrided. They did a fantastic job and completed it quicker than expected. They are now currently in possession of a G17 slide of mine for an SRO cut. Attached File |

I'm less pleased with my Battelwerx cut 19.5 slide. Mine has no forward recoil lugs, only the Zev style thread bosses. Their photos on the website showed front recoil lugs. I want to swap in an enclosed optic and was looking at an RCR. BW said they can mill the thread bosses off but there would be no recoil lugs which is a no-go for me. I would buy an HTX-1 but they are essentially unavailable. I have had much better luck with Primary Machine and Nameless Amrament. I prefer correct to fast in this case. |
