| Just a thought i had. Now that the SBR tax is zero and maybe even the registration going away soon has anyone thought about making a Hi Power clone with the slotted backstrap for a stock attachment? Woud make a fun range toy at minimum. |

Hmmm? I have a SBRd Glock 17 with the early Flux and a Glock 35 with a Recover 20/20 chassis. The Recover version is still small enough to holster carry under a jacket. I also have two Bromhandles (a BOLO and a Fullsize). With the wood stock they are cool but not really carry-able in the wood stock as a holster. I do very much like the stocked pistol concept to extend handgun capability; but I also see the limitations. Regarding the Hi Power, Im gonna assume youd be starting with one that is already cut for the stock? If NOT, how were you planning to attach the stock? Honestly there are better options if you want to do a SBR. Id start with a Glock as there are lots of stock options. If not the Glock, then perhaps a Beretta 92? | Using the stock slot for a new stock design is a pretty good idea. There are plenty of old Inglis and other BHPs floating around out there that have the stock slot and can still be acquired for a reasonable price. Bonus points for tangent sight. |
