I love my Dagger for what it is, but that mag release is a ssttiiiiff one. I really don't like doing reloads with the Dagger compared to like the M&P or P320. Any ways to make it less stiff, even if that means buying a new aftermarket mag release? |

I saw several ideas online such as replacing the mag catch spring, but what worked really well for me was one of the Vickers extended mag release. It allowed my thumb to better depress ... Also went the same route, changed to Vickers. |

I have 4 Dagger frames. I replaced the mag releases with $5 extended Glock ones. It's still a bit stiff, but the extended button makes it easer to use. This was the only thing I didn't like about the Dagger frames. |

On my carry G19, I made it completely smooth. It works fine, though someone asked how well it worked when wet or dirty.... and I didn't think about that. I was just trying to make it not be pointy. I might need to try the wet-hands shoot and reload a few times to make sure I can still operate it under those conditions. |

I bought the Dagger frames as toys, and a couple are for range use and testing anyway, so I decided why not? It was easy. I just snipped off a piece and used a bench grinder to smooth the end and get the length right. As a backup plan, I added a stock Glock one to my last part order. Obviously, since I did it this past weekend, I can't attest to its longevity or durability, but it works. I compared it to my stock Glock one, and it feels about the same - a bit lighter than the Dagger one, but with enough tension that it functions correctly. Both have extended buttons, so it's a pretty fair comparison. Also, the $.99 pack of music wire could probably make a dozen or more, vs. $5/ea(+ shipping) for the part. |

Something I've recently learned that's relevant to this: there are a few things that glock sells direct on their website for much cheaper than the same thing from parts vendors. The extended magazine catch I've put on all my Glocks (and now Daggers). I've paid $5-$8 for these. I know it's not a lot, but still... Attached File |

I have 4 Dagger micro frames and noticed today messing with them that the mag release seems unnecessarily stiff. I just ordered the same size you posted a link for from amazon. $5 to my door. I just ordered the Shield Arms starter kit for each of the 4 lowers today. Metal 15 rd mag and metal mag release for $25 on sale at Botach. 🤣 Also capitol one shopping found a discount code for $10 off. Under $110 shipped for 4 -15 round mags and 4 mag releases. |
| Just installed the new lighter spring and the Shield Arms metal mag release. What a big upgrade. It’s a small thing and most probably don’t see it as an issue but it feels way better now. I have 4 of the micro daggers and a new unfired 43x mos. My kids and I were comparing them and we feel that the stock 43x is between the stock micro dagger and the modified micro dagger. We aren’t going to change the 43x at this time. |
