Surefire fanboy here and own several X300’s. X300 vs anything Streamlight, etc isn’t even a question for me. It’s Surefire every time. However, looking at an XC3 and for the first time I’m questioning if I’m just flat out dumb to buy the XC3 over the TLR-7HXL. On paper it’s not even a competition and the Streamlight is nearly half the price. Thoughts? |
| Surefire fanboy as well here but I own a TLR-1 and a TLR-7. The problem I have with my XC3 is Surefire dancing around holster compatibility! So far I'm finding way more holsters that do NOT work with TLR-7 pattern than one's that do. |

I ordered one when I saw it for 208 bucks. I like my X300's and they're great on full size pistols and rifles/shotguns, but it's too long for a Glock 19 or such, and adds 1.5 inches to the overall length. I'm thinking the XC3 will be the go to for my smaller guns, and am hoping it might actually fit (with some work) my HK 45CT, which has about the goofyist rail around. HK put a trigger guard big enough for use with mittens, and so the rail is so short that you can't get a X300 on it. At least you can use it with mittens. I wonder if the XC3 would fit the Springfield Hellcat. Will soon find out. |

I got an XC3 for my Glock 45 and I’m wondering if I should’ve just got a TLR-7 just for the fact that I can’t seem to find holsters specific to the G45/XC3 combo. I have a Safariland Incog X IWB holster (for G45/TLR7) and it fit a little tight but it’s loosened up after working it in and out of the holster a bit. I’m wanting to get a G-code holster for a duty belt setup but someone else in another thread said G-code’s tlr7 holster was a no go with an XC3. Apparently not the same footprint. |

When the TLR7 was $100, it was a good buy. $180 for a Chinese TLR7 versus a $215 US made Surefire though? Hell no, I’m going Surefire. I have the same viewpoint on the TLR1 too. Streamlight is at almost US made prices for Chinese made lights. They’ve almost doubled prices the past couple years and it’s ridiculous. And I’m not a Streamlight hater at all. I just won’t be buying anymore at their new prices. Attached File |

Just noticed this as a "coming soon" item on Primary Arms' website: 1000 Lumen/13,000 candela XC3 Appears to use a rechargeable battery for that output, or match the XC3 output with a CR123; so a dual fuel option. |

| I just outfitted a G43X with a XC3 Sub and looking to swap to the XC3 on my G23. Wild that the full size light is 550 lumens and the Sub is 1000. Surefire says there is no word on when the larger light will be upgraded to 1000 lumens. Holster options for both lights are still limited at best. |
