I need to pick up a case of basic brass range ammo. Prices i see are around .21 to .24 a round. I dont really care to be nit picky or ocer think this. But is that about the going price or should i hold off for the next sale? I haven't bought 9mm in 15 years becouse i used to reload and had a pile of it. I dont really care to nitpick price over $20 a case and i dont want to make a big thread about this. Just wanted to know if this is basicly the normal or good price these days. I feel like i saw something around xmas for 8.99 a box of 9mm. But maybe that was one of these BS websites or crap ammo. I dont have access to my reloading gear right now. And i think when i was reloading with cci primesrs, Unique, 124gr fmj at 1150fps i was at about .12 cents a round. Cheap but using a old single stage it took me a long time. So spending a extra $100 a case isnt too painful for me these days considering the time i save. |

You expectations for price are a little low. $.25 per for 1000 rounds is realistic or $250. Sometimes .23-.24. I only buy brass cased ammo 124 grain and rarely 115 grain. I don't really quibble over 2-3 cents per round these days. It costs too much in precious time to reload. Try SG Ammo (SG AMMO 9MM) |

go to ammoseek.com to see the lowest prices out there. It's always about delivered or OTD price per round . Id say 25cpr delivered and tax paid or locally bought with tax paid is probably a current good price. Can you get below that? Maybe. I am buying factory cheap plinking and making custom subsonic these days. But my progressive is in storage for a while. I reload now on a optimized single but as I said, only for custom subsonic. |

Lately I've just been ordering from SG. It's not always the cheapest, but it's always competitive and they have lots of options. They also ship free and very quickly. I had been shooting Monarch for a few years, but I got some of the new Brazilian stuff and accuracy was horrendous. It might have been a bad batch, but I've been scared off. |

I've gotten to the point that I just buy the Brazilian Monarch zinc-plated steel-cased 9mm, as it works great in everything I own. Its always "In Stock" and available at twenty-cents a round and while the brass-cased 9mm might be in short supply at my local Academy, the steel-cased 9mm in always stacked high and visible, usually on an endcap. Just my two cents worth... |

Their steel case works fine too. They had a blazer rebate over black friday that dropped it down further. |
