| I don’t think I’d run the subsonic for more then pest control or something similar were absolute quite as possible is necessary. The cartridge really needs the speed to be effective. That said you’d take the edge off the properly loaded stuff where it’d be more pleasant. This is my experience from the P90 with a can not a pistol. |

subsonic 5.7 depending on the type will/should give you min penetration depths in gel (12-16") but wounding ability is going to be pistol like IE direct contact destruction. 77gr OTM will tumble typically 2 time. Not really what 5.7 was designed for, but if reduced sound signature, and recoil are mandatory, shot placement and penetration depth > > secondary wounding from bullet terminal affect. 77gr SMK (MK262 Mod 1), 5.7x28mm |

I got to play with a Ruger 57 and two Rocks today. The triggers in the Rocks were absolute garbage, as in atrocious. I saw a Tisas, but the dealer was busy so I’ll handle it tomorrow. I wanted to like the Rock based on what has been said here and elsewhere, but they felt cheap and that trigger was just not something I could spend my money on. The Ruger seemed solid. I do wish it had a higher capacity magazine. Trigger was decent enough, but not as nice as the Smith. I wish the Ruger came with a threaded barrel. |

If I had been able to dry fire my Rock before I bought it, I would have bought the Ruger. I just hope the trigger improves with use, cause right now its ass. |

The trigger on my S&W 5.7 IS almost Match Grade! Granted I did install a Galloway adjustable trigger, but that only adjusts take up and over travel. |

| Hate it because of the price. Had a PS90 & sold it. The gun itself was fine and the caliber is fine, but not worth the $ for a range toy IMO. I also had a PSA 5.7 pistol. I consolidated calibers a while back and there would have to be a very compelling reason for me to stock something I don't already |

I carried a 5.7 on duty the last few years. I don’t think that a weapon firing a round at 2,400 fps out of a handgun and can penetrate 3 panels of Level IIIA Body Armor is a range toy |
