43X Trigger (Page 1 of 2)

| I'm not really a fan of the stock 43X trigger. The trigger action itself isn't the issue. I just don't like the geometry and the serrations on the trigger face. What do you folks recommend for a trigger upgrade? Thanks! |

I have the Vex F3 shoe, 5lb Wolff striker spring, and Apex connector in my 48. The trigger went from feeling like a staple gun to a decent trigger with around a 4 pound pull weight. I don’t shoot it a ton, but have around 1k rounds through that setup and have never had any reliability issues with it. |

| Take a look at Johnny Glocks reworked oem trigger, its a Glock trigger with no serrations, the safety dingus is contoured so when depressed its flush with the shoe and pretravel is adjustable. They're like $28.00, I'm running them in my 48 and 43X. Unless you want to go with a flat shoe, these are pretty sweet for a bargain price. |

@226man just so you are aware, the Vex F3 is essentially the Johnny Glocks shoe others are referencing. The Johnny Glocks shoe has since been updated to replace the screws with roll pins to eliminate the need for a thread locker when installing the shoe in a trigger bar. I haven’t had any issues with mine using purple LocTite. They are the same list price but Ranger Proof offers mil/le discounts. If you aren’t eligible for that the Johnny Glocks version is the better buy. |

| I've been extremely please with my Tactical Pontoon Peacemaker trigger for my 43x, it's not cheap but it's fantastic. I also did an apex kit on my micro dagger with the OEM trigger housing and on my other 43x clone I have an glockstore gs fast trigger (atom trigger) with a ghost 3.5 connector and it's good, but neither are remotely close to how good the peacemaker is. |

@EncoreGolf - is that the Lone Wolf smooth trigger shoe? | My old man is the very same way. Loves Glocks, doesn't mind the functional feel of the stock trigger, hates the serrated trigger shoe. He replaces all his with a polydat shoe. I tried one on my 48. I like it just fine, but the stock shoes don't really bother me so I never felt the need to change any of my others. |

I replaced my trigger shoe on my 43x with one of those by OC Custom off of eBay. Cost was around $33 or so. All the difference in the world. I will admit, removing the OEM trigger shoe wasn’t very clear at first but a couple of vids on YouTube cleared it up. Smooth surface with a wide flat face is way better than the OEM. |

The trigger shoes come from “The Gun Co” which are made in the US and he uses factory trigger bars that he reworks like most other drop-in Glock trigger replacement providers. |

I don’t use them based on his marketing or stickers…it’s strictly based on the fact that nothing else I have tried in a Glock has been as good as his drop-in kits, especially the 43X kit. I have also had nothing but great service from him when I had a question or issue. No cult...just a satisfied customer. |
| Out the box, my 43X MOS trigger was around 8lbs( I measured it) and horrendous. Polished the points of contact, changed the plunger and firing pin spring, and it dropped to around 5lbs, and no trigger slap. Also took a small piece of Emory cloth to the trigger itself to smooth it over. Once I had done all that, it shot great.. |

Replaced it with Apex and it is a world of difference better! I believe I also used the Apex connector, but I don't recall and I'd have to tear it apart to confirm. Either way, so much better now. I had been a long time Overwatch Precision TAC trigger fan (one in a Gen 3 G17 and one in a G45), but I decided to give the Apex a shot after trying one in a co-worker's G47 and because Optics Planet had a good sale (like $67 for the trigger and connector, open box sale). I'm glad I did! I just removed the Overwatch from my G45 this morning and returned to OEM because it felt better and I could work the trigger faster. I may consider an Apex for my G47 though. |
