Bought this Bobcat on consignment for $150, visually it's in fantastic condition and came with Altamont bonded ivory grips. Found out why it was so cheap though: after cycling the trigger a few times, it would reset itself when on single action, and sometimes would completely disconnect. When I took off the grip panels to diagnose the issue I found that the trigger sear pin was walking out, which caused the spring to drag the trigger bar out of contact with the sear. The grips look fairly far apart from the trigger bar and there's a spot that looks like a piece came off of it right over top of where the trigger sear pin goes, so I feel like that's the cause of the issue. Little concerned with how easily the pin walks free though and how the trigger bar keeps bending out like that. Any tips on how to fix it myself or am I gonna have to just send it in? Already taught myself how to completely disassemble and reassembly the trigger mechanism, I've reinstalled everything properly and it works perfectly for about 15-20 trigger pulls before it starts having issues again. Emailed Altamont to double check if the grip itself is broken, if so hopefully that's the solution.    |
