I’ve become a full and dedicated convert to flat triggers but only for straight pull 1911/2011 style triggers, I actually don’t really like them on long guns and can take them or leave them on more traditional pivoting trigger designs on other handguns and think it’s mostly snake oil / hype most pivoting trigger guns / the flat design doesn’t make a huge difference. On a straight-back pull gun, however, the feel is just perfect to me, it almost feels like there’s no movement at all imparted by the trigger pull, especially with a well fit trigger with no perceptible up and down or side to side play, and it feels less like you’re pulling / squeezing the trigger, so much as you’re just tightening your whole grip and the shot just… breaks, whereas again, specific to a 1911-style trigger I feel like I can feel my trigger finger “roll” as the distance shortens, versus the glide or slide I get with a pivoting trigger (though I’d still take a curved 1911 trigger any day over another design  ). Ultimately I think the trigger design of the 1911/2011 actually delivers on the claimed benefits of flat triggers that I mostly regard as snake oil and placebo with other trigger configurations. ~Augee |

I had to do my homework because I was getting light strikes with mine. WWB seems to be fine and until my pin comes in I am forced to shoot that. |

600 rds. Surefire Chinese clone light has 300 rds on it. Battery door wont stay closed and fit is super sloppy. Going to run it until it stops working. I have a real X300B for it.Attached File |

Anybody here with a tool-less guide rod ever have it partially lock open under recoil? I have a Dawson that was doing it today, first time and I had put 1200 rounds through my Prodigy before today. After today, I've got 1400 rounds through it and it partially locked about 10 times at the range. I could fix it just by pulling the slide back. Currently, my recoil spring is a 13-pound from Atlas, hammer spring is a 19-pound Wolff, trigger is a flat-faced Red Dirt Tactical and the rest of the gun (besides the tool-less guide rod) is factory. |

Mine is probably an Atlas, just looking at pictures. My buddy doesn't remember which one it is. ETA: On a second look, they function the same, but my guide rod is black. I don't see any others that are black, besides the Atlas, that are for the 4.25 Prodigy. The rest seem to be stainless steel. I also found people on reddit that were having the same problem as me with their Atlas tool-less guide rods for their 4.25 Prodigies. |
