![]() ![]() Kind of a fan of this one. Target was shot at 25yds off hand. Amazing gun. Point it, and that's where it makes a hole. |

The XC seems flatter, but the Athena is smoother and geared for their return to zero feature. I just listened to an hour and a half of Adam from Atlas explaining all this in a You Tube video interview. It’s from 2019 & worth a listen. Especially if you don’t know much about Atlas (I didn’t). |

View Quote For just an awesome shooter, there's nothing wrong with an XC. But it is a production gun (although expensive). Today I took both out again to decide which to keep. It's the Athena (but it's also $1500 more than an XC). These are both just range toys for me, so they kind of served the same purpose. My XC was just listed FS if anyone is interested. |

View Quote In the hand, the STI DVC grip feels much better than the Staccato P(which I have not had the pleasure of shooting yet). The Staccato grip gives it a factory look, but I definitely see why owners send their guns out for stippling. I'm a casual shooter, so I don't think I'll be doing anything to the Staccato's grip. View Quote I wish this setup was an option when I was planning out my staccato stable. Ideally, I'd have gotten that as my steel frame full size, an AL frame P, and a C2- would have made the most sense. As it happens I'm going to have a steel P, AL P, and C2. Optic question for the collective. The C2 and AL P are going to get carried, so they are getting type 2 RMR's. Would you all have any hesitation putting a holosun 509T on the steel frame P that will basically see range use and home defense duty? I do have enough RMR's to put them on all guns, but it would be easier to put a 509T on one of them in that it would be one less firearm to pull an optic off of and then have to re-zero. I have enough RMR's and 509's on hand that I don't have to purchase an optic, and I'm not interested in the SRO or the DPP....so the choice is between those two. |

I’d see no issue with it. Tons of guys running them now. Sage dynamics came out and says he only runs RMRs and some of the holosuns to include 509T’s. He shoots way more then I do, as well as tests his gear and beats the shit out of em. Has had no issues. Would trust his expertise. Carry guns don’t see tons and tons of abuse. Been carrying a pistol everyday off duty concealed for 10 years. Using optics for 5 years. I have 2x G19.5 with RMRs. One to train and beat up, the other to carry and keep nice after a 2,000 rd break in. I have literally never had any issues and have never dropped my gun. I would trsut the 509t to use for carry and training. EDIT: forgot to mention, if I’m loving this staccato XL (multiple 500+ rd range trips this weekend) then I’ll probably go full retard and get a C2 for carry. |

View Quote From everything I've seen of the 509's... they're good to go. The 2nd gen supposedly has corrected the issues the 1st gen showed in some. I'm looking at a C2 order in the near future and I'm looking hard at a 509T for it's optic. |

From a durability/reliability standpoint I definitely have no problems trusting the 509T.
little bigger window than the RMR, and all 3 of mine have been great. Definitely some image distortion around the edges of the glass (which I think is what they are trying to correct on the gen 2), but again for a pistol RDS with both eyes open, its really not a big deal, and something I also see through my RMR's. I actually prefer them on handguns I don't shoot that often, since its easy to swap batteries and I don't have to worry about confirming zero. I just have a little bit of a hangup putting one on a staccato. I really don't know why, but for some reason I do. |

Being new to 2011’s, what grip is that or did you just get yours stippled? Haven’t even taken my XL out yet, soon, but the gen 2 grips aren’t great. Just after holding it and whatnot. And I think that’s an atlas trigger. Looks good! |
