What is a good self defense round for a 6” barrel? I know 125 grain Speer Gold dot is a good choice. Any other suggestions?

I prefer heavy for caliber so in 357 I like 158 gr pretty much any HP or SWC is going to do the trick

.357 has a abundance of power in any medium or long barrel so ammo choice is not critical.

With 38 spl or 9mm bullet choice can be very important , more so with a shorter barrel compact gun

6" barrel? Probably a 158gr XTP.
