Unless you are absolutely dead ass broke, you can usually scratch together a few more bucks for a carry gun that's more proven. $300 gets you a lot of choices today. PD trade in Glocks and M&Ps, new guns like the full size APX from Beretta and the CZ P10C. A SCT19 with a PSA Dagger slide will be under $300 too. If I had extra money for something fun, I'd get one and try it out. I doubt I'd actually carry it. Not because I'm a snob, but I do have more proven choices and Kel-Tec does have a reputation of guns that sometimes need a little work. I remember all the "fluff-n-buff" articles about the P11, P40 and P32 days. Ironically, my local shop had a P11 in decent condition for $129 the other day. I was tempted, but with no S&W magazines to feed it, it's not as enticing as it once was. |
