Yeah so I'm impulsive I guess. I went to the local shop just now to pick up a transfer and there was an HK Mark 23 in the used case. I put it on layaway. I just bought a modular suppressor and I didn't have anything 45 ACP with a threaded barrel. That's reason enough, right? What do I need to know, look out for, etc? Never owned anything like it. |

I shot a Mk23, USP45 and HK45 all against each other back to back - the HK45 was hands down the best of them. Suppressed or not. You give up two rounds but gain ergonomics, comfort, and the ability to use HK P30L holsters to carry it if you want. And a normal Euro 45acp thread to boot. (16x1LH) If you want one just to have one, go for it, no one will blame you...but if you plan on actually shooting it a bunch, get an HK45. It literally took all the lessons learned from the Mk23 program that were then rolled into the USP45, distilled it all, and put it in a better package. |

I don’t see any use for one. But I want one, and if I see one locally, I’ll get it. I have small/medium hands, but I can shoot the mk23 so so. I had a USP45 that i gave away, but I didn’t have any issue shooting it. Kinda regret that. I had a spare OEM threaded barrel and five mags for it. |

Without reading previous comments: Pro: It’s huge It’s awesome Possibility that you can get a shoulder holster for it Possibility that you can get a shoulder holster for it AND your suppressor Con: For that money you could get 3 glocks or 2 USP 9c Also huge Holsters are going to be difficult 45 has been met or superseded via newer tech 9mm / higher magazine capacity High likelihood it will be a safe queen and you won’t enjoy it like you would enjoy myriad of other things you could have done with your $2k. |
