My employer has decide to cheap out and switch to Google, and is deactivating our Office 365 licenses this week. A lot of my work requires extensive Excel work, and Google Sheets just doesn't do the job as well. LibreOffice's equivalent isn't nearly as good, either. I'm using a personal device and would like to just buy a non-subscription Office license that includes Word and Excel. Where does one go to get legitimate licenses for a good price?

Woot.com has a few different editions for varying prices. Professional plus is $26.

Everything linked above, and anything you are going to find for more than a few percent off of retail price are not legit licenses. They are fine for home use, as Microsoft really doesn't give a shit about home users, but you absolutely should not use them in a business. You are opening that business to liability and huge fines.

Tell your boss they need to pay up for Office, if that is what you need to do your job, or make due with what they provide.

This.

You should not be spending your own money in something like this. The business needs to know the impact of their decisions, be it positive or something less.
Now a real killer, when he picked up the ZF1, would have immediately asked about the little red button on the bottom of the gun.

Agree.  If a tool affects production (and profitability,) a case can be made to justify it's purchase.

My employer could not care less if the google alternative sucks, but I do since it's my time that will be wasted

A place I used to work at experimented with OpenOffice, and the experiment failed.  Any time a power user encountered an issue they couldn't work around, they tied up the helpdesk and swamped them with service requests.  The transition and loss of productivity cost more than it saved.  They bit the bullet and switched back to MS Office.

My employer are dumb when it comes to the tech stuff, but they are a good employer with good pay and benefits, and this is not nearly enough to make me leave. But they are determined to discontinue paying for Office. That decision has been made at the executive level, and no amount of problems from the Google software will change it because none of the people there do any work with the software. Tying up the IT helpdesk in India isn't something they will ever care about.

I am expected to deliver the same stuff regardless of how bad the software is, so it's worth $70 or so to save me a ton of time and effort trying to make good deliverables with sub-par tools. Besides, I use Office constantly in my personal life so having the (legit) license will be useful regardless.

So far this is the only suggestion that actually seems to be legitimate (and the price is quite good for a legit license). I understand the desire to just pirate it, but it's not worth it in my case.

And as for most of the other suggestions, those are just paying for illegitimate keys. Not sure why you'd give any amount of money for illegitimate software that you could get for free.

Didn't read all the posts, but I've bought a few licenses from StackSocial.

One was Windows 11 and about 3 Office 2021 Pro lifetime.
Looking for my first .45. Satin nickel Colt Combat Commander serial # 70SC85412 sold at a gun show in Louisville KY sometime in 1985. My Avatar, my sweet princess girly girl Maggie. Got a nice 15 years with her, miss her a lot.
