Buy once cry once
Lucky Brand FTW Seriously though, they are a little pricier, but I have had a couple of pairs over two years and apart from some faded colors and some wear where I keep my wallet they are still in great shape. Plus they use some small amount of spandex that makes them super comfortable, and gives them a little stretch in case I end up in a situation where I need to run or crouch. |

cool-- not worried about price, but dont want to pay $$$$$ just to pay$$$$
want it to look good and be comfortable i wear 38w-34l so got a few extra pounds, but not "fat" (as far as i know) |

Regular Wranglers from the outlet mall. About $20/pair. I find the ones with stretch to them, they seem to last longer as the material never gets taut and stresses the seams. I'm usually a 36/30, they fit well. Enough room IWB for my shield, and the front pockets are pretty deep to fit wallet, cash, flashlight, this, that, the other thing.

Express jeans are really nice but their more fitted which is why I buy them

Levi's 505, 514 and 527. Have several pairs of each but I'm 5'11 168lbs. The 505 and 527 would probably not be the best idea in size 38w 34l

I’m having trouble picturing a 5’11” dude that weighs 168lbs with a 38” waist (nohomo)

I only buy Buckle Jeans anymore. I’ve tried to go back to Wrangle and Levi’s but Buckle are by far more comfortable than any other Jean I’ve tried on.

Wrangler Advanced comfort 47s is what i wear. boots, tenny shoes, loafers, it all works
|
|

I prefer Wrangler (finding the thicker ones is getting tougher and tougher, seems like all I see in stores now are the thinner ones), Lee, and Carhart. At least Lee and Carhart are still thick.

As much as I like Levi's I can no longer support that progressive company. I wear Wranglers these days...

I like Ariat brand jeans (like the boots). Lots of different styles and fits. Around $70-$80. They seem to hold up well, and look nice.

Just like cars, buy Japanese. Made with the same 100 year old American machines that used to make the classic rugged jean.

will look into kuhl...ironically, many of my sweatshires/shirts are kuhl as they actually FIT.
the lucks do not fit---too big...36 would prob work. going to got to MOA and return them. |

I have 3 pairs of triple aught design intercept jeans. Most comfortable jeans I've ever owned, and I can high kick in them when I need to go Chuck Norris on someone.

I have a pair of 5.11 jeans that are going strong after a couple of years, they are the defender flex slim version. I was able to try them both in store and found there to be just a slight taper from knee to ankle but both had the same cuff opening size so I went with the slim.
My only critique is the color, no lighter wash or anything. Next up is the Banana Republic rapid movement jean. They've got all the colors and fits covered here and in other variants. Nice and stretchy, comfy, etc...they are always running a 40% off sale which make these a pretty solid buy and comparable to the mainstream jeans like levis etc... |

I'm pretty fond of Land's End jeans. Their inseams are available in .25" increments, so you can get a proper fit without visiting the local tailor/seamstress.

I’m digging my revtowns. Thicker then most and got that stretch.

My favorite are 501's but since I switched to AIWB the button fly is really difficult.
I tried 505's but they don't fit the same |

Lee's with the flex feature. Gusseted crotch similar to Duluth Trading Ballroom jeans. Always on sale at the mall for $30 and comfortable as hell and their bootcut sits the best around my boots. And their in a 38x32 cause I'm a little fluffy. 6'2" and 245.

Wrangler relaxed fit.

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6

Just don’t be that old dude trying to look young by Wearing faded jeans with factory tears and that homo white threading.

Another vote for 5.11 defender flex. They look like trendy jeans, have great range of motion, and stretch a little. Very comfortable for ccw, they feel like you're wearing pajamas and with a good belt your gun is weightless. I can get into a full slav squat with a g19 aiwb (Tenicor holster) in relative comfort.
I tried the lapg bootleg 511 jeans, they are ok. The waist is a little lower cut and the jeans are a stiffer, more crunchy material. They flex ok and there's less belt loops. |

I am 5’8" and 225. Hard to find jeans that fit in thighs and ass. I have a ghetto booty, as my wife says. Usually a 34 x 32 in Levi’s works, but now they are tight in thighs. I need new jeans.

Timely thread for me, thanks to everyone.
I've lost some more weight and need to replace jeans as well. I've been wearing Duluth for the last few years, love the comfort, but would like something a little more "professional" / stylish. Do any of these have a loose crotch like the Duluth stuff? I've gotten so used to that everything else I have feels terrible. |
|
|
Don't know if they're "cool" or not, but I've been buying Silver jeans. They fit well and they have more subdued washes that aren't too much for the work place. Also a fan of Ralph Lauren jeans. Both fit very well.
Levis for just knocking around town. |
