Folks, I am looking for some recommendations for language arts (English) textbooks for self-study with my 6th grader, to supplement (or better) whatever the school is teaching. Hopefully something that is more traditional and that avoids "modern" topics (you know what I mean). we are not religious, so not looking in that direction either. Thanks.
