Any mic/headset that will work with a phone will work with the 360. I have a couple that came with the house phones, and they work pretty well. I gave one to Darth kobra, so we didn't have to listen to ourselves echo all freaken night, anymore.  "God,...... second story, blown out house, .............." "BOOOOOOOOOOOM" "thunk!"

Has anyone else had any problems connecting to servers? It will sit at the "Getting match quality... searching for available games" screen for a LONG time before it will join. It's an intermitten problem for me though so I don't know. I recently moved, and they don't have cable internet here. Just DSL  I lost my 5 meg cable to go to 1.5 meg DSL. So I don't know if it's me or if it's XBL.

Microsoft's servers took a dump around christmas, all the college kids coming home and playing. Servers couldn't handle the load. They haven't fully recovered from it yet. I didn't have any connection problems before christmas, afterwards however. It affected Halo as well. |
Im going to have to disagree. It doesnt have much to do with college kids. as they play while as school as well. it has to due with the massive amount of kids that received the game for x-mas. right after x-mas there was almost 300,000 new COD4 players... which have mainly been 10-17 yr old players. If you notice 8am - 4pm is the best time to play... after that all the kids get of school, and log on causing the servers to become overloaded. |

Whew, glad it's not just me then. I've noticed it gets better late at night for me, but yeah about 3:30 on is a bitch... You would think after this long they would have gotten their shit straight.

I didn't read through all 15 pages so forgive me if this has been mentioned. If you are having problems with the in game server browser, I found a decent free one. It's called Xfire. You can get it here: http://www.xfire.com/ It's free as far as I know. I've been using it for a couple of months now and I never knew there are that many servers. Also, doesn't a member here host on a server. If it's the PC version, I sure would like to know the name of the server. Thanks, Mike |

Maybe I would like it a little more if I was back on my cable connection...my DSL lags a little bit and in hardcore mode if they shoot you in the foot with their pistol you die so anything CQB I'm fucked. |

Doubt it, as I said my connection lags a bit and since all you have to do is get shot in the foot and you die I'm soooo fucked. Although FFA Shotguns on shipment was a fucking blast the other day. Oh, and snipers only. I pwnd with my deagle. All in all, I hate hardcore though...I like having all the shit on my hud, and I like not getting killed when someone looks at me crooked. Hardcore is a campers wet dream. |

If you like using the M16+red dot+ stopping power+ deep penetration, your're right it's not too bad. I had to play a few soft core games today with some old friends, and once I switched to that set up, I did just fine. The problem is it gets old after a while. I really like using the sniper rifles from time to time. I love the Dragunov on Hard core, but if I use it on regular games, I have to hit them twice to kill them. Usually, I don't get a second shot. It really limits the set ups that are effective, and takes away alot of the fun. Yes, if you hit them in the head, they are dead on the first shot, but try hitting them in the head on the run from across the map. It's a little tougher to do; so I get lots of hits, and very few kills. On a good sniper map, I might get 15-20kills and 5-9 deaths with my HC sniper set up, but if I play that type of set up in SC, I might go 5 kills to 15 deaths pretty quickly. Once you start playing Hard core, it's really hard to go back. This afternoon, we ARFCOMers probably won a good 10 matches in a row before finally playing one to a draw. It was a lot of fun, and it's fun to see different people lead the scoring on different maps. The communication was fantastic between us. Fricken Bigvern rulled the shit out of the other team on BOG today, with the rest of us calling targets for him. It was damn cool.

The bog was a fluke. That team sucked and just kept walking into the rounds from my G3. We had a great run, though. It seemed like we fall down a few kills in the beginning of each match and then just turn it on. The best part about running with you guys is that it seems like anyone of us at any time can pick up the slack and start putting up big numbers. I remember when M4Shooter put up like 40 kills on Downpour. I think he had 4 or 5 deaths, but those allowed him to keep constant airstrikes and helos running. The worst part about hardcore matches is the ability to only have 6 guys in a team. It sucks having to cut someone out of a match because they were unlucky number 7. Like I've told a few of you already, if I'm the 7th and you want to play HC, tell me to go fuck myself. I'd give you the same courtesy.

Go to youtube.com and search for the glitches, I hate cheaters. I would own if my connection would stay up to speed, I'm trying to get a fiber connection then I can do a lot better in hardcore.
