movie - exceptional SG1 - very good campy and a little tongue in cheek, but captivating and good SG Atlantis - meh, fine worth the watch SGU - StarGate production finally grows up. not for everyone, but to me, the most captivating, original, and best executed of them all really liked it. Many people did not. they also made some break-out made-for-TV movies none of which were that memorable. |

Lets be honest, while good TV shows and movies do occasionally come out, does anyone have confidence that a remake/continuation of their favorite movies/shows will come out in the current writing environment? Maybe I'm just jaded, but I'm ok with letting the past stay in the past rather than see yet another good IP I used to enjoy be dug up and have its carcass be puppeted by another batch of shitty and/or preachy writers |

Think Star Trek The Next Generation. Something that could draw on the original work and build on it. Or they might have gotten pushed around by the suits and it would have been trash.
