So my 360 has a 20 gb drive. I’ve always had to uninstall games to install other ones and play them. I just had to remove fallout 3 to load New Vegas. Dumb. Story time: A while back I had a pitifully slow laptop. Bought an 500 gig SSD to “fix” it. Didn’t speed it up so I guess the OEM hard drive wasn’t the problem. Anyways I kept the factory 500 gig HDD in an enclosure as an external. I was watching YouTube video today and found a video about slapping big SSD’s in 360’s. Well, that Samsung SSD that’s in the laptop isn’t compatible since it can’t be correctly imaged in to a Microsoft drive. BUT, I found that old “slow” 2.5 HDD external, and sure enough is a WD Scorpion Blue pre-2020 with a model number that’s on the compatibility list. I followed the step by step in this video, imaged it as an Xbox drive, copied my old 20 gig drive contents over to the 500 gig. | I bought a 320gb 7200rpm drive for my 360 when we first got it. It wasn't an "official" MS drive, but it's been flawless. |
