I'm a car guy, but this is just demented. "A NURSE who married a public bus boasts a new tattoo dedicated to the "love of her life" after a bizarre wedding ceremony. Yeline Lizbeth Pati o, 35, has experienced an attraction to vehicles for most of her life and although she has past dated men in the past, something always felt missing. In 2022, Yeline moved to Bogota, Colombia, and fell madly in love with a fleet of red articulated busses on Route 60. Now, with a tattoo of the bus on her side, a shiny ring and a marriage "certificate", Yeline and Bogota's A60 F60 convoy are Colombia's most unconventional nuptials. The pair were married in secret in October 2024 at an intimate service, complete with a white dress, a wedding cake and a pearl ring. Recalling their love affair, she said: "Its structure, colour, and material captivate me they are, I dare say, my reason for living." "I decided to start a relationship with it and marry it in a ceremony one held in secret, as I did not want to reveal it to the world at the time." Yeline commemorated her one-year anniversary with a large tattoo on her torso showing the front of her articulated bus and the city's cathedral. The nurse recently decided to go public with her marriage as she fears their future is in trouble. She said: "I made this public for one reason only: I am terrified truly terrified that TransMilenio will cancel that route." With the introduction of the capital city's new metro, Yeline is afraid the route could disappear within the next two years. Yeline said she is willing to risk her reputation, her career and life to raise awareness of the route, in the hope of drumming up enough support so that the company will "find it impossible to cancel the service". She continued: "I feel such a sense of helplessness and pain because TransMilenio knows what this means to me. "I am asking for just one thing: that there be a TransMilenio articulated bus bearing the number '60' on its route it doesn't matter where it goes." She has called on human rights organisation and fellow mechanophiles and objectophiles to help her cause. She said: "It is the most immense and beautiful love imaginable. "I would like international support. "To preserve the route's identity within the system, I want everyone to stand in solidarity with my cause so we can gather signatures or submit joint requests perhaps form a fan club for the route, or do something to prevent its removal if there is no other way." Yeline is a nurse and professional singer from Pasto who moved to Bogota to pursue her artistic dreams and it was there that she fell for Route 60. She said: "It felt like a real encounter, even though I didn't realise at the time that my love for it was genuine." She later took a job as a night cleaner at the bus depot so she can wash the fleet and stay beside it. She said she was just happy to be near them. Yeline first experienced mechanophilia when she was just 10-years-old when seh fell "head over heels" for a rans Sandon bus that ran from the municipality of San Pablo to Pasto.
