The Good Men Did Not Disappear

The scary part, I think she mostly nailed it. Outliers and exceptions always exist.

Women keep asking where all the good men went, and the standard answer is that men are intimidated by successful women.

I break down why that diagnosis survives, it is the flattering one, and what is actually happening: men are not backing away from her income or her success, they are backing away from a specific set of interactions, and I name each one.

The good men did not disappear. It was never intimidation.

It's very well done, but to little or no avail, and she acknowledges that.
A vanishingly small number of modern women actually want the truth: they want the comfortable lie they've been sold by feminism - "You're perfect. It's all men's fault".
I wish she had spent more time on the one man's comment that "we have observed you (women), and we can't trust you". Trust goes hand-in-hand with respect, and she did note that lack of respect is immensely common and immensely destructive to relationships. I wish she had tied those together more closely.

It's well worth watching.

real men are not intimidated. never have been.  we just realized its a raw deal all around.

rent the puss, dont buy it. the older i get, the more i view men who buy puss, at the core are insecure. they want desperately to show the world that they are loved, and valued, and worth a a shit to the world. lol. all a lie. esp stepdads, who willingly raise another man's offspring. 100% cuck, and another obvious desperate attempt to show that they they are valued by some one to the world.

all the acceptance of "step" horseshit, has ruined this country, and promoted several generations of cucks, who think somehow they won. lol. No. all you did was solidify your ability to secure a woman who didnt pick you first, and you settled on in order to have some sort of semblance of " im a dad". lol. no, you're just a wanna be. and your original kids? yea. still on you  if they fucked up at life, sold dope, got killed, got a dei degree, faiied lol. still on you. doing the step thing afterwards doesnt resolve none of it. lool

cucks have ruined this country.

why risk my millions on emotions?

Men think of threats. That’s why we’ve been doomers and preppers and fascinated with guns and the Roman Empire and HEMA / LOTR LARPing and the military, militias, etc.

It’s all about threats real or perceived likely… and this led huge numbers of white European stock Americans to start marrying 3rd world Asians, Africans, Latinas, etc 20-30 years ago… we saw the train wreck of AWFULs in the late 1990s.

Raising mixed kids, homeschooling, etc disposed millions of Gen X and Y guys to be counter cultural before it became mainstream.

It's a larger issue than relationships.  She points out that the store is selling what the customer wants: "It's not your fault."  In other words, victimization sells, and it's on a broad range of issues that shall never get resolved because the underlying facts are never acknowledged.

My 21 year old nephew just got married to a pretty young girl from his church. He is in an electrician apprenticeship program and she’s going to college for something but wants to be a mom. He has an immune disorder that can hospitalize him and she accepts it.

His sister is 23 and has dropped out of college and is into the club scene with her girlfriends. They do pot and ecstasy and sleep with random guys. She has the typical instagram and facebook profile you would expect. She acts bipolar and can’t figure out why he married first and she’s still single.

JFC!, I’m so glad my “dating”  life happened in the 1970s and 1980s, and not today.

What a generation of fucked-up, over-psychoanalyzed nut cases  - gals mostly, but young guys too. I mean, WTF?

Beers, margaritas, a Drive-In, and a few condoms were all a studly dude and his horny gal needed back in the day. That was called a relationship.

Best of all, no one had their nose buried in a freakin’ cell phone while they were going at it in the backseat of their Dad’s station wagon. Remember those?!

Absolutely.

But that doesn't mean she still isn't overall correct.   There are plenty of criticisms of modern men: most all of them stem from removing strong male role models from society, being raised by women, and being constantly attacked at all levels by women for being toxic, patriarchal, misogynistic, and words are literally violence (and flirting is literally rape).   Add in to the mix the financial risks of divorce and child support for kids that aren't even his, and that women have convinced each other that sleeping with dozens strangers by the mid-20s is empowering....

its amazing that men aren't falling over backwards to woo them.

So, even if she's correct and her data backs it up, women will never see it.

Regardless of how well being a c*nt works for business, politics, or whatever. Men don't like a c*nt.

In my experience, not to the extent it is an America. My wife is Filipino born, but has lived in Singapore for the past 20 years and built her career there. The big difference that I see versus all of the women that I have dated after being widowed at almost 40 years old, is the trust and partnership that is inherent in our relationship. You are much more likely to have someone who literally and thoughtfully once a lifelong relationship and will do the work to make it succeed.

That said, she scrolls through the regional Instagram, and has commented on how the women in Philippines are getting to be more and more westernized. Demanding expensive restaurants for dates, asking for allowances, things like that. So, unfortunately, our influence is spreading.

Didn't watch the video but apparently, it's striking a nerve with the number of views it's getting.

I do think social media, just like every other endeavor, is widely distorting the gulf between expectation and reality.  Much like the whole recent visitors coming to the US World Cup phenomenon...

Tangentially related.. one of my wife's classmates is visiting us from NY and told us that she just starting freezing her eggs because she hasn't found someone to settle down with. Like my wife, she just turned 31 and is still super pretty.  She showed me her DMs on IGs and she gets asked out all the time.

Her problem though.. unrealistic expectations.  We went out last night to a top floor lounge/bar and several dudes came up to talk to her and ask her out.  When she politely declined, I asked her what's up and she said that after meeting a lot of dudes coast to coast, she said 90% of dudes aren't very good looking.

Supposedly, she knows a lot of other girls that think like this.

The more men they have access to, the higher their standards are. Modern society puts them smack in the middle of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of men. Then she can amplify it by using apps to gain access to men she would otherwise never see.

Then compound the whole issue with not understanding the difference between attention and retention, and you end up with ridiculously high standards.

Obviously, if you marry a poor woman, that can have a big part in it. However, not all countries, and not all women from there are poor. For example, my wife makes more per year than the majority of the women I’ve dated from the US. And that’s not a slight towards the US women. I think the difference is that a lot more of them historically, and recently, are more likely to understand contentment, and understand when they have a relationship that is fulfilling and work on keeping that healthy, rather than always looking for the next better deal.

But like I said, the western influences creeping in to their traditional culture, and monkey branching is becoming more prevalent.

Western women are, for the most part, messed up and not worth knowing. Our society started its drain circling a few decades ago with what I then called the Oprahfication of America. Encouraging the feminization of males and encouraging what they thought were masculine characteristics and behavior in females. Unfortunately, they opted to acquire the worst trait of men rather than aspiring to the better. Back in the 70's, there was a popular poster of a few women using urinals alongside men. The caption referred to equality. I have always felt that poster expressed the sentiment improperly. But, they wanted really short goalposts. They got 'em.
