For some reason, I had a bug up my butt today and I wanted to watch the movie so I was going to all the streaming services and they don't have the movie listed at all. So for shits and giggles I went onto Amazon and eBay it's selling for $209 on the Blu-ray on Amazon and anywhere from $109-$250 on eBay. The movie was OK. It wasn't great. I'm confused to why this movie is so expensive all of a sudden. In 2013 the movie was 12.99 brand new Blu-ray. Is there something going on with the wing commander movie? There's like a cult classic or something now all of a sudden everybody is like wanting this movie ? Yeah, I love the wind commander three video game the movie they tried to make it look like a World War II style space movie with torpedo. I'm just amazed at how much money this movie cost it makes me wanna go around a couple freaking pawnshops and see if they have the movie in the Blu-ray section for like three or four dollars |

It had a couple cool frozen time special effects shots that were very novel at the time. Supply and demand. Real fans probably will pay what the market will bear, and it probably has very limited supply of physical copies out there. DVD is easy to find. Link |

There are all kinds of of “collectibles” with outrageous prices on EBay. Not sure people are paying those prices though. I saw a Kennedy Half-dollar with a price of 5k. Actual value was .75. Nothing special about it. Don’t know if it is neckbeards, money laundering, or a combination. |

You can rent it on Youtube. Not sure the price. There are also some excellent upscaled cinematics from the video games that a guy edited together to make full movies. These are actually way better than the 1999 movie. The stand alone movie was horrible. Really had as much to do with the video games as the star ship troopers movie had with the book. |
