Who is using what? Im not sure I want to drop Moza money($500-$1000) untill Im sure I am going to enjoy it, But... Maybe |
I just got my PXH P99 wheel/shifter/pedals working in Forza Horizon 5. Pretty decent, not a high end unit, but it does have a 7 speed shifter (press down, and then go to 6th gear position for reverse) with a hi/lo button, so that should work out well for a truck. I'm new at this, as the last time I hooked up wheel and pedals, it was over 20 years ago. The force feedback on this is pretty good, it even makes similar noises to a 70 GMC Jimmy when you go offroad (rattles)  The pedals are the usual pivot-on-bottom type, with just springs, no hydraulics, so they all feel similar to each other with similar travel. I may look to upgrade those at some point, but I'll roll with it for now. I've probably spent about 7 or 8 hours just driving around in the game getting used to it. I have them just clamped to the computer desk, and the pedals push up against stuff under my desk to keep them from moving away from me. I do need a different chair with locking wheels, or no wheels, though. |

| I have a T300 that I really like, belt drive is waaaaay nicer than the Logitech wheels. That said, everybody loves their direct drive wheels, I've never used one, so I don't have an opinion on them. But I can say a Thrustmaster belt drive wheel is absolutely worth it over a Logitech. |

I have the Moza R5. I really only went up to that quality because it's necessary for drifting with higher torque. For casual sim stuff you'd be fine with cheaper options. Even the Moza R3 sub $300 would probably be overkill for you. But be warned; you get what you pay for. |

| I have a moza R5 on an 8020 rig. And get on ats every once and a while. I thought I would enjoy it more once I had a wheel. But found myself going back to the controller more often than not. If that's all you're planning to use it for them figure out a set up that will be comfortable to drive for a while. A few guys I deal with use Logitech and seem to like it. |

Its alright for racing and rally games, but I have a hard time drifting with it. Seems to just not move fast enough when it self centers. |
