| I am looking to start taking creatine gummies instead of creatine powder. Which ones would you guys recommend? A certain brand? HCL vs monohydrate? |

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CXMV8YD3?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image I like these, primarily for the taste. Couldnt tell you if they do any better than anything else, as Im really just starting with any significant fitness stuff. ETA: PROBABLY A SCAM, SEE BELOW |

Thats a shame if so. Gummies are so much more convenient. |

Plenty, in fact the majority tested, had literally 0 traceable creatine |

Sorry didn’t mean to come off as a jerk. The video I saw was by Thomas DeLaur I think is how you spell it. It’s been a popular topic amongst health content creators including podcasts and YouTube, over the last month is what I was alluding to. The study called out some major brands by name. @turkeyleg Found it: ![]() ZERO CREATINE! We Tested Major Creatine Brands, This is What We Found |

Thats very disturbing. I guess I should have known better, but I probably got suckered. I just wanted an easy creatine for first thing in the AM when I take my meds and vitamins, so I ordered some gummies like everyone else does. I bet they arent worth a damn. They have no "gritty" taste or anything like that. They taste like a candy or multivitamin gummie. The only thing I looked for was "low sugar". I just assumed if they say "5g" on the label, thats what they have. Well, since I cant know for sure, Im going to chuck 'em. I bought some Optimum Nutrition capsules. I hope they are gtg, i believe thats a reputable brand. I can live without the "candy" effect. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DLWONF2/ref=dp_iou_view_item?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

| Because of the recent creatine gummy videos as well as others showing fraudulent supplements purchased from Amazon (Thorne being one of them), I am making an effort to find new sources for our vitamins and creatine. I'm kind of over Amazon in general. They're turning into Temu/Wish... |

It was a video showing that because of Amazon's co-mingled inventory system, the same item from different distributors get thrown into the same bin. It had a side-by-side still pic of a Thorne product next to a fake one. The labels were VERY close. Of course, I can't find the damn clip now. Here is one that I recently watched, though it doesn't specifically have Throne in it: ![]() STOP Buying Supplements on Amazon Until You Watch This Edit: Actually, it was the same guy in the video. He posted on X and it had the pic I'm thinking about. Attached File |

Just buy creapure and drop 5g in like 4-5 ounces of water, swish it around drink, rinse glass with a little more water once or twice and drink the rinse. It takes 10-15 seconds. Its a known quality source how much more convenient does it need to be? You literally just drink it like anything else. Sure its a little gritty but who cares? |

The top selling gummies don’t really contain creatine. Wired magazine has leading creatine gummies tested It looks like Amazon pulled the Happyummm gummies after this article came out. According to the article, it’s hard to get the creatine into gummy form. This is disappointing as I was just finishing my second bottle of them. I didn’t really think I was getting any results. No wonder. They are basically an expensive version of Gummy Bears. I guess I will try to find a creatine powder. |

Pretty much this. I've been ordering Muscle Feast creapure creatine. I don't think creatine is one of those things you can actually notice. It will help you get an extra rep or two in and recover a little faster, but it's one of those small things that helps over time, not an instant boost. |

There are quite a few papers out there, including a double-blind/placebo study listed on the NIH website that seems to point towards creatine assisting in glucose management amongst T2 diabetics. Thats the main reason I started taking it -- any recovery or muscle growth advantages are purely secondary. Starting a few days ago, after seeing this thread, I bought a few different creatine products locally and have sampled a few. I chucled my old gummies. I did pick up some Force Factor creatine chews for the hell of it along with some powder and capsules. They are berry flavored, but they have the gritty feel and the creatine aftertaste the powders do. Maybe they are legit? I wear a CGM and im going to see if there is any effect on my glucose averages by taking the powders. It will take a while to get any meaningful averages, as my last 4 days have been 4-5 points lower anyway, and I doubt the creatine would be responsible for something like that so quickly. Probably just a natural dip from activity or diet. Maybe a month or two, followed by a break will tell me something. It dosnt seem like it will hurt to experiment with this stuff, either way. |

I just dump the scoop in my mouth and take a drink of water.

Monohydrate is still the gold standard: tons of research, reliable, gives solid gains. HCL might be easier on the stomach and less bloating, but more $$ and fewer studies. If going gummies: check the label for amount per serving, clean ingredients, third-party testing. Some gummies underdeliver.
