Uh-oh…. I know one of the mechanics there. Was it an equipment failure? I’m not sure on HPFD’s reserve equipment status. The last Pierce we ordered was between 18-20 months but that was a couple years ago. Edit…. Was this the garage on Triangle Lake Rd? It’s not at Headquarters unless they’ve built a new building. If so maybe not FD mechanics but city mechanics working on it? I can’t get an answer from anyone I’ve talked to. @txgp17 |

Talked to someone today, it’s not totaled they don’t believe. They were driving it to Greenville to be worked on since Atlantic couldn’t take it. Said it drove fine going down there. That truck was put in service in August of 2008. And apparently you can order and receive a ladder from Pierce in 18 months but it’s close to a 3 year wait now on engines.
