What is the one food that you expect every golf course to have? If every golf course doesn't have it, what is the one that just about every one you've been to does have? I think it's the hot dog. Growing up and going to play golf with my dad or grandfather, I recall the humble hot dog being a staple at just about every course we played. We'd hit the turn or finish the round and get a couple hot dogs. Mustard, ketchup, chili and slaw, were the best hot dogs you could ask for after being on the course. I know some of you guys have strong feelings about the toppings but that's not the point. When you go to a golf course, what is the one food you expect to see at 75%, 80%, 90% of courses? For the sake of this thread, I'm not really going to count country clubs or high-end courses with food and bev directors and top-tier chefs. At those places, I don't expect to see egg salad sandwiches and bags of Lay's chips as much as I would gourmet meals prepared by guys who earned the title of chef. Thoughts? EDIT: For this one, candy bars don't count, either. Nor do chips, cheez-its, protein bars, etc. |

| I've enjoyed the hell out of a good breakfast sandwich and a coffee when I've had an early tee time. Bacon, egg and cheese hits the spot when it's a chilly morning. It has to be made fresh at the course though. No cold fast food grub will cut it. |
