Its finally happened, the big event. The bug out cowards have headed to the hills. One of the xi/xers has convinced it's bull Tyrone to assemble his crew and take the Piggly Wiggly. This aggression can not stand man. You and the squad head to the spot and prepare for liberation. What are you utilizing for communication? ATAK? Feng gang? Good old whistles, flags, and hand arm signals? |

This would be METT-T dependent. However, given how cheap technology is today, I'd be concerned that even the lowest funded opfor would have the capability to located radio transmissions and attack their source. Whistles, flares, tracers, and flaming squirrels seem to be safest means of commo when in contact. When not in contact, probably a mix of commo methods used prior to the 20th century. |

If utilizing a well put together comms plan how long will it take you to be direction found? These are team and squad level comms so you shouldn't be executing a whole lot of traffic. |

But sometimes I can't avoid taking a pickup, when I've got gearbags and pelican cases of climbing equipment and trash cans full of rope and antennas and microwave dishes and spools of coax and ethernet and connectors and a cooler for drinks/snacks and test equipment and a ladder and a folding table and and and....  10 watt with a tactical antenna? a 50 watt high power mobile radio? lol cute 1kW AM tower with a 50kW 10-element FM broadcast array up top. Got to sit in the DJ booth and press buttons on both of those, along with the transmitters.

I will play along with your masterful troll. Have you seen how put together some of these airsofters are on comms plans? If they actually had the courage of their convictions to execute on some of their larping, they would be difficult for most to detect and degrade with respect to their comms choices. |
