Fed my boy ("Buddy") some Iams Beef and Brown rice. Picked up some Blue Buffalo (Chicken and Brown rice) for him, while grocery shopping earlier tdy. Your meal for your dogs, is what I should be doing for my 11ish year old Best Friend. Best dog, (by far) I have ever owned. American Staffordshire mixed with Rhodesian Ridgeback, bred over in W NC, to be Catch dogs for Wild Boar. Wicked smart, super loyal and no back down. He's a big Baby, with me. |

My gal got hand-picked chicken (from a rotisserie chicken), with shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of dog vitamins and probiotics, piled on top of buttered and salted rice and puppy (higher protein/fat) kibble. She's sleeping right here by my side, pressed up against me. |

That looks perfectly acceptable. Hell, I got invited over to one of my idiot friend’s house some years ago for Thanksgiving and your dog meal looks almost identical to what I was served. To be fair though, he got super drunk early, ruined the turkey and had to make something with what he had on hand…. |

Sometimes save some of the water to pour over their dry food. The hardest part is getting them to leave me alone while it cools off. |

Frozen veggies are cheap, rice is almost free if you buy a big enough bag.

Smart too… in a pinch , you can serve it as a main course to guests if you have unexpected company. |

| We normally mix two cups of dog beef bone broth (low sodium stuff), one cup of brown rice, 3 pounds of ground chicken or turkey, 12 oz frozen green beans, 12 oz frozen peas and carrots, 12 oz frozen sweet potatoes, and every other batch a container of chicken livers. Throw it in the slow cooker set for 8 hours on low before bed, take it out and put it in a container whilst having morning coffee the next day. Sometimes we'll throw in a few spoonfuls of beef wagyu tallow since deez muttz are pretty high energy. |

| For my geriatric gang they get 4Health senior kibble and the younger pups get their performance branded kibble. I alternate putting an egg or can of sardines every other day on top of their food. It’s getting to be an adventure hunting down sardines though. For birthdays and gotcha days they all get kibble, egg, some type of beef and if I remember to thaw it out beef liver. I need to look into getting a different kind of food for my seniors. The two in my avatar have been eating the same flavor for awhile now and even with the toppings I think they’re getting tired of it. Only issue is one is allergic to chicken, which seems most senior food has that as the protein. The other two seniors don’t seem to mind. Granted they have only been here a couple months. |
World's okayist yeller
| We also throw in a healthy spoonful of greek yogurt or cottage cheese in with dinner for ours, and throw in frozen blueberries, cranberries, raspberries, and diced avocado. |

Chicken and kibble. My wife buys the big fruit tray at the grocery store for my "fruit snack" and we pay the fruit/ice tax when we go to the refrigerator. Our 3 will eat anything but olives and broccoli. The Jack Russell Terrorist hides baby carrots behind the couch in the man cave and gets almost feral if the black lab or golden retard mix goes to fetch them.

Yep, sometimes I'll mix some apple chunks and blueberries with a little plain greek yogurt for dessert. |
