Installed a new flatbed on the old pickup, and was running wires back to the new 7 way plug aux pwr and trailer brake. Got to thinking, it would be handy to have a power port in the back somewhere. Pickup is a 94 long before they thought of doing that. Then had an idea of what to do with some old wiring I had from redoing a trailer last year and a few other parts in the electrical box. 7-way 12v socket with optional alligator clamps to tailgate with, or float charge something. Run my cooled cooler. Have 12 v in tent next to pickup. 10 minute project. I see you can buy something similar, but this was free and made it good and long.

I need to get it to a bandsaw type mill to bookmatch it because it is sufficient to build an acoustic guitar with 1 piece top and back. The 2x2 maple pieces in front of it on the floor are going to be a little shelf I plan on making for the red toolbox next to my 4' level case. There is a table-top project in the works as well, that is all cedar and will end up about 24x24. It'll be an outside table. |

Front porch step about kilt me on Sunday. Don't do work like that when the heat index is triple digits    The original step was built into the concrete sidewalk, and only provided 5 ½" of rise when the 2nd needed 13 ½" to reach the porch surface. So, armed with that knowledge, I formed a 2x10 box, poured 300lbs of quikrete, and sweated off probably a gallon of water. That little box kept me busy from 1600 until 2000hrs. |

   I dimpled the gas block seat to match a different gas block a long time ago. I figured the new one would probably work, and it was close enough to not have to do any dimpling. Getting the one under the port is easy. The one toward the muzzle was slightly different but not significantly. |

not pictured, but cleaning up squeaky door hinges, especially the bottom ones, is a little tricky. I hate pulling the lowest pin out but now all the offending doors in our house that we've owned for almost a year are very quiet

Finished the cable management of the new automatic lights for the garage. 3 of the fixtures in the garage were massively impotent and they're on a switch. I decided I wanted about 10000 lumens in the middle of the space when the garage doors are open and have them on motion activation.

  getting a little more organization in the shop done. glue sets up in 1 hour, however I plan on keeping it clamped until tomorrow afternoon. There'll be a 1x4 added to the back and left side that will get screwed in. Just waiting to do that until I cut to length and run my roundover bit across the front and right side. And finish sanding. |

7 arborvitaes are being delivered today, hopefully around 1500hrs. missus m4ger has wanted to plant more trees here since we bought the place.  4 across the front 3 up the driveway kinda framing it in. they'll end up about 10-15' when mature |

 Got a 1" thick laminated pine board from menard's today my entertainment center has long housed this Samsung TV from 2013. almost 2 years into living at this new place, I have decided I want a 65 or 70" TV. Since my friend Bob gave me the entertainment center almost 20 years ago, I decided to recycle it and cut it down to almost the same height as my speakers.  I am somewhat limited with where the thermostat is located, but I do not need a bigger TV than 70" or thereabouts. the doors you see in the 2nd picture were cut to 39" and mounted to the left and right side of the box, and that gave me additional mounting surface. once the new TV is ordered, there will be additional wire management done. |

I guess you could say I was doing some logging. This spring some trees blew over in the high winds we had. Some of them fell in some low lands I have around my stream. It was too wet until now to get in and cut the trees up. Over the weekend I cut off the branches and made a big pile to burn. Today I started cutting the log s up and dragging them out with the tractor. Latter this week it will be time to make fire wood. |

Crazy we started this thread just about 9 years ago. Still working on this old house. Feels good to make progress. Kids are old enough to help now too  Working some trim in the livingroom.
