I feel a bit of an idiot as I can’t figure out what I’m missing. I picked up a X2D a few months back and have been steadily learning. I recently tried to print using the aux filament (I bought the combo unit so I have the AMS Pro and recently ordered another). I load the filament up, the unit grabs it and sucks it in. It shows it’s loaded. I have it set to Bambu PLA with the correct color. The unit is set to use the left extruder as the aux. when I go to print I get an error that there is no filament in the LEFT extruder and to load it. The left is set with the AMS. Regardless, if I go in and switch the extruder from left to right I get the same message. What dumb thing am I doing or not doing. Maybe I’m not understanding the function of the aux feeder. Can it be used in combination with the AMS? Doi even have a need to use it? | Take a picture of the back showing the AMS and aux ptfe tubes. I'm confused as to what you are doing and what you want. It appears that your AMS is connected to your left (main) nozzle and the right (aux) nozzle is just a spool manually setup. Without a second AMS, this should be the correct way to have it setup. From there it's just how you have the slicer setup. When you slice the build plate, you need to tell the slicer which nozzle to use. There are some automatic settings, like best quality, that will not use the correct nozzle (as it will want to only use right nozzle for better quality). |

| Typically you'd use the auxiliary nozzle for things like support interface or minor print details/color in which 5he high K Factor isn't a huge deal. As long as the K Factors are properly tuned though there isn't a huge quality difference between the nozzles, but K Factor gets exponentially more important on indirect drive setups like the right nozzle. |

I’ll learn. Thanks for the pointers |
