I’m not sure if this has been done already, but post up the weapons you have carried on duty during your career. After 30 years in service, I have carried quite a few. Here they are in order of when I carried them:
Sidearm: HKP7M13 SigSauer 226 Glock 23 (back up) Glock 27 Beretta 96D HKUSPc SigSauer229 Glock 19 Glock 26 Glock 17 Glock 43 (back up) SigSauer P320 Long Arms: Remington 870 Remington 870 (14” scattergun tech) HK MP5 Steyr AUG Colt M4 (11.5” bbl) My favorite sidearm to carry was the Glock 19. It is my current duty sidearm. Some of these have been personally owned which I have been giving to my kids when they are old enough. Something to remember their old man by. |

Late 70s as a reserve officer. Satin nickel Colt Combat Commander.
1993-2013 full time. Ruger P-85 Glock 21 Sig P220 H&K USP .40 H&K USP .45 Agency then standardized and started issuing Glock 22 for patrol and Glock 23 for Admin types and plain clothes. Then a few years at another agency. Springfield Armory Operator 1911 Finished my career with an M&P .45 acp. |

I've carried a bunch over the years. Feds were much more open to "if you can qual with it, you can carry it" with only a handful of restrictions.

I’m sure I left a few off the list as I’m just going by a quick memory dump for this post. These days it’s Glock 19 or 17. G17, G22, G21, then switched to Sig 226 and now 320 since we have to carry 9mm.
As far as rifles goes, mini 14, SBR’d homebuild, now a Troy that our dept did as a group buy. Have a Tavor Im very tempted to qual with, but Im leery on learning a new manual of arms. |

Colt Trooper .357 magnum (old model made on the Python frame, or what became the Python frame.)
Colt Combat Commander .45 acp. S&W M29 4". S&W M686 4". The few times I had a "long gun" with me it was either an old M97 (so I could break it down, tie a short cord to the halves and drape it over my shoulder under a rain coat to make it easy to carry into a place I wasn't supposed to take it. Easy to put back together and load with 00 buck once I was inside the stairwell. Couple of road block warnings (you might get a call for back up, etc.) I'd grab the M1A and a few magazines of FMJ. No one was going to hide behind a car/van on me. |

Sig P320 9mm, current issued weapon. Sig P320SC, personally owned, qualified with it to use as an off duty, backup gun, then used it when I went to violent crime unit in plain clothes Sig P365XL with regular 365 grip, TLR-7sub, personally owned. Took the place of the sub compact. Sig P365XL, agency issued. Was issued after I already had my 365. It’s gets shot at quals, but sits in my safe 870 with Speedfeed stock. 870 Wingmaster, dedicated bean bag gun Bushmaster 16” carbine. Added a few personal accessories to it. Only gun I was issued that wasn’t brand new was the 870 Wingmaster. I bought the Glock when we switched to Sig. |

someone had a desk pop, rather than call it what it was they played it off as guns defective so we had to get rid of em. Plus 9mm was coming back into limelight so.... 2016-now G17 gen 4 2013-2017 Rem 870 from the 80s, issued with wood furniture and 18in bbl, no mag ext. I put speedfeed stock and surefire forend, and +2 mag ext on it. 2017-now LWRC DI with aimpoint pro |
