The following is from a post he made in June of 2020 discussing his cancer.  "First, the Doctors are confident that I will come out on the other side of this with a full recovery and cancer free. That's the good news, now for the bad. I won't bore everyone with a long story about all the crap I've gone through to get to this point. Basically, I've had fluid building up in my belly, sonogram and CT scan later and they found a mass in the upper tip of my liver. Had the "this may very well be cancer" talk with doctor which at the time, looked like the game over type. After a sample of the fluid was extensively tested and all the results to this point discussed with a group of doctors/surgeons/cancer specialist, it's been determined that this is what is going on. Sometime late last year my appendix ruptured (no pain, fever..nothing) It apparently had some form of minor cancer in it (Dr's had long name for it but I only do English) which ended up forming a tumor in my liver. Tumor is they type that make mucus that gets all over the place inside you. Enough of that. Anyway on July 7th they will do a 10-12 hour surgery with will take out my appendix, part of my colon, the tumor on the liver, scrape out all the mucus crap that in the belly/various areas of my insides. They may also end up taking out my gall bladder and spleen depending on how it goes once they are inside. At the end they will flush me out with some kind of kemo liquid with will get all the cancer/mucus crap that may be left. No fucking joke with this surgery. I will have to stay in the hospital for 10-14 days after the surgery, followed by about 3-4 months recovery at home. If you notice me not logging on for week or so, this is what is happening. I expect to be ok at the other end of this but hell, it could be a lot worse. I just needed to vent a little about this. -Apocalypto-" |
