He had told me that his health situation caused him to quit the job that he had back then because of the physical requirements, but I believe he was doing some kind of maintenance work at a school near his home these days. I will reach out to the person who posted his obituary on Facebook and see if I can't learn a little more about what happened. |

Damn good guy, but basically he said that Brett had been in declining health for the last couple of years due to the heart attach, but that he tried not to make a big deal of it. Recently he'd been doing worse and was in the hospital for a week with pneumonia before he passed last Saturday. When Brett made is last post here on Thursday of last week, he was in the hospital but didn't let anyone know. This fellow said that when he talked to Brett's mother at the funeral, she made the comment "It's for the best, he was never going to get any better." so take that as you will. It's a hard take, but without knowing anything more, I'd hope that maybe she knew more than we do. So that's what I know, and Brett, I sure wish you'd have let someone know what was going on. Not that we could have changed the outcome, but at least we could have said a prayer or done something beneficial. Rest easy Brett. @M4ger, maybe you could add this to the first post or somehow highlight it. |
