Sinn also made their model 809 using the same case/bezel .....it's an automatic though, and they are extremely difficult to find

I changed up today. This is my first “nice” watch. It was a divorce present to myself, purchased here off the EE. Attached File For reference, compare my Seamaster to the one I just got for my wife. I get my Sub ref 16610 back from Rolex service on Tuesday. They had to replace the mainspring, which didn't surprise me since I wasn't kidding when I said it's been worn pretty much daily for 25 years. I guess that includes replacing all the gaskets, an ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, accuracy and power reserve testing before the final polish. The polish is pretty impressive, I'll have to get a photo or two. That first door jam scrape is kind of a primal aaarrrgh  This was the second service at the 19 year point. It was meeting all the power and accuracy requirements, I think I smacked the crystal into one of the steel boat cleats. Attached File |
