For those of you using Vortex to mod your games, DO NOT download the latest update 2.0. It is causing major issues for a lot of people including not letting you launch your games as well as breaking mods. Right now the only “fix” if you downloaded is to try and go back to the previous version which is certainly not ideal and may cause more harm. A lot of modders have moved on to Discord and Patreon. There was a major exodus from Nexus a few years back due to overbearing censorship and of course the UK bans. I did get version 2.0 to work finally, was a pain trying to figure out what they screwed up, in my case the update was not communicating with Steam, along with not recognizing many mods. Caused problems even when launching strictly from SKSE/F4SE/SFSE, my GOG downloads fared much better, still had to readjust my frame rates which it also buggered. It's what happens when you are more worried about making sure people can't create mods to remove trans flags from your game over providing a stable platform. Yup, the Netflix school of DEI operations. |
