Meh. Played the first one through to the end but HATED the combat controls and disliked the writing for the protagonist. Open world to city ratio was good. Stealth was good. Economy was good. Eating/drinking at the right times and weight management was good. Armor and weapon selection was good. Skill progression was good - I did not even mind counting to seven while brewing potions. |

I bought this game years ago and never got past the first hour as it just didn't click with me at the time. I started again this week and just got to the point where you save Hans. I'm getting into it now and I'm enjoying it. Its clunky at time but overall I like the systems in place. I also like playing as a dirty peasant, its nice in a way to not be some bad ass dragonborn or witcher for once. Any tips for a first time player in the beginning? Is there a point where I get some free time to go explore and work on leveling a bit? It seems like most quests so far have been hamstrung by time. |

I showed a video of the interrogation quest to a friend who speaks Hungarian, the one where you find someone to translate the Cuman and the guy tries to steal the treasure out from under you. He thought it was a hoot and said the conversation between them was legit. I really need to beat the game in hard-core mode, it's hilarious playing with the side effects, but I haven't done one with all of them yet. I do increased hunger and claustrophobia usually. Kharn |

I've been known to cheese a bunch of bandits away from their little camp with arrows from my horse, ride back to their camp really fast, and poison their pot. Get alchemy to level 10-just get a whole lot of marigold and nettle. At 10 you can autobrew with the perk and recipe book to save time. This is how you print money Drinking to 10-the perk for safe passage helps out once you are loaded down with gear. |

While I am looking forward to this, I am a bit skeptical. There is a gay sex scene that is apparently unskippable, but doesn't mention if it's with Henry or not. And doesn't specify if this is a course (quest line) that can be avoided, and thus skipped altogether, or if it's part of the main story that you cannot skip and have to watch the shit. For the last month or so people have been begging for an answer on this and they only said vague shit, not denying it was in there, but giving zero hints as to if its skippable or not. Now, if this is totally optional, whatever, it won't affect me. But if this shit is in plain sight that I cannot skip, I'm going to be pissed because they lied about it and made KCD2 Woke as shit. Once you get the horse, you can kill all (around 15) the cumans and have a huge amount of loot to start the game with. If you really want to break the game's economy before it even starts, you can also kill all the cumans on the ride to Talmberg and stash their loot in the chest at the abandoned homestead. You'll start the game with a ridiculous amount of loot, probably some very good armor, and enough skill to put you well over the difficult curve of the rest of the game.  I played the hell out of the original, and just did another run through a couple of months ago in prep for the new game... but I think I'm going to hold off buying KCD2. Not really interested in playing as Henry the closeted homo. |

The moment I started, I killed every single last one of the shitty invaders the game would let me kill. I did not do it to level up or gain loot, granted I had more loot than I could even carry. It was just for the pure satisfaction of being a smith's son that found a weapon and murdered the entire invading army single-handedly. It never really occurred to me that this would be a legitimate way to "power up" going into the main game. I just wanted to kill them lol. |

Turns out you can accidentally kill them that way Did dive briefly into 2 last night. Didn’t get far at all but was very pleased how well it ran on my 9800x3d / 3060ti rig. Beautiful game |

Beautiful game Yeah, if you choke them out again before they've had a chance to rest, you can kill them. I don't think you can kill the guards in Skalitz this way, so you can pretty much max out stealth before you even leave. |
