Vintage, 1952 Gibson ES-125. I hadn't planned on handling any electrics, but I couldn't pass this one up. I have no idea what to expect from a guitar like this, and although it didn't blow me away, I really liked it!! The setup on it is nicer than about 90% of the new guitars at GC. Price is $1999 and I have no idea if that's reasonable or a rip-off. Just FYI, I am NOT thinking about buying it.  Attached File |

There's a decent looking '56 ES-125 at a local shop to me, priced in the 13s. It appears to have had a broken headstock repaired at some point long ago, as the back of the neck was painted and the Gibson logo on the headstock masked off. I've toyed with the idea of getting it as a stablemate for my heirloom '54, but I need another vintage guitar about as much as I need a hole in the head. Click To View Spoiler |
