I maxed out what i could with watches. I visited 17 boutigues and tried 17 watches that i was interested in. The number 17 was a coincident, because i tried on the most at Bucherer and Horologio. I was there 3 days and worked remote for 2 of them. I didn't have time to visit any pawn shops. Disappointments: - There were only a few pre-owned watches around the strip. Mostly at Watches of Switzerland, but there were recent models with huge markups. - The Glashutte squarish 70's chrono was extremely thick. Great finish and quality. - The Tag Monaco was beautiful and looked great on, but was also extremely thick. - Watches of Switzerland had a lot of brands, but almost no inventory in the displays. They are trying to hard to be boujee. - Swatches are even made cheaper than the 80's. LOL. They felt like they were made of paper. I wanted a Las Vegas exlusive, but i wasnt spending a dime on that garbage. The 80s-90's Swatches were fun to have. - I have been to Vegas 3 times in the last 4 years. The prices were insane this year. Burgers $40. Cubano sandwich $40. Shot of Jack, $30. 20oz coke, $8. Everything was twice the price of 2 years ago. It caused us to really scale back our spending and travel. Goods: - I tried on 5 Speedmasters: hesalite, sapphire sandwiches, manual, auto, etc. Speedies are so cool. One will propably be my next watch. - Bucherer is one of the nicests watche stores i have seen. So many brands and models. I will suggest everyone go when in Vegas. - The Bell & Ross 05, blue dial on a bracelet is a nice watch. I have never been down on B&R but the watch impressed me. - Panerai 8 Days 44mm. This thing is huge, but looks amazing. Not too thick or heavy. - The Bulgari Octo has amazing style. If i had more confidence in the jewelry company making in house movements, i would get it. Loved this watch. This was probably my second favorite that i tried on. I will need to research their inhouse movement. - Buddy V's in The Venetian. Been 3 times. Always good Italian. Suprise: - Well, it is hard to say Cartier surprises anyone, but the Santos Large stainless is, in my opinion, the most beautiful watch in the market under $10k. It was hard to leave without one. The fit is perfect for a 7.25" wrist. The finish is perfect. Amazing. A surprise because i typically like more of a tool watch style. - My wife loves the Santos Dumont large in stainless on a strap. I want to get one for her for our anniversary coming up. |

Bucherer in King of Prussia was great too. I stopped to look at the new dune Rangers when they released. They were slow so the guy talked watches for a bit while I waited on my wife to find us. Not that it matters, but when I made a purchase at 1916 none of them really knew about the watches. |
| Vegas is a great place to check things out back to back in close proximity. Sounds like you had a blast and got hands on time with a ton of cool watches. I really like the Omega Boutique at the Bellagio. I've bought a couple Speedies from them and they were great to work with. Very professional, threw in a couple extra bands, travel cases etc. |

The Speedy is awesome, I feel fast when I wear mine Re: Santos; I have the green face model. As soon as I opened it, I took the bracelet off and put the green band on. It’s stunning in person. It’s my “let’s get dressed up and do something really nice” watch. (It looks even better when you’re wearing a tuxedo). |
