I’m positive most of us from last time are on lists. I imagine it’s been a very boring ass job watching people like me go to work and return home every damn day for the last five years.

Let’s let the unsaid remain unsaid on an open forum.

Networking with like-minded is key.

Strength in numbers. The machine will grind to a halt if there is organized resistance.

Use Signal (or secure off-line method) for comms, but don’t add non-vetted individuals (duh).

Never comply.

Do we?

In culture and politics, we've pushed toward more democracy for about a century. The Democratic party has made 'DEMOCRACY' a huge priority for quite a long time. With their agitators in education & news media, this has become the normalized message for the general population. Asking the general public to understand the difference between a constitutional republic and a democracy wouldn't go far. Most people don't give any thought to the tremendous drawbacks to a democracy.

As applied in the current situation, the 'majority rules' concept says that the Democratic government gets to do what they want.

Republicans and conservatives do a very bad job of pushing back and explaining that democracy is a poor model that is unjust and unfree. Two wolves and a sheep voting on dinner is what democracy looks like. Zimbabwe is what democracy looks like. And Russia, Venezuala, Cuba. The 'democracy' narrative is where we are, and advocating a limited constitutional government is actually a radical, countercultural thing.

One very clear example of the U.S. not being a democracy is that we, as a nation, have never voted on a national issue or referendum. Imagine the mob rule in that scenario.

Right now, it’s just time to focus on the Sons of Virginia to come home.

It is as clear as day.

Buy/sell what you want NOW. They WILL push it through. They are irate because of MAGA, and they will throw their fit in VA.

And when you got yours, they'll repeal the grandfather clause. Surrender them for $300 ea or get a felony, which surrenders them for $0. Oh, and while the FBI may not keep 4473 records, the VSP absolutely keeps records of transactions, so Jones can send the VSP to come shoot your kids and dogs.

At this moment there is no Universal Background Check in Va, as I understand it. So everything now goes back to zero. Anything people purchased prior to this, was maybe sold in a private sale today or tomorrow.
If I've got this wrong please say so.

When we didn't before have UBCs I definitely did buy and sell stuff with no names or paper trails. It was extremely common for people on both sides of the sale to ask to see a handgun permit to verify everybody was not a criminal then just exchange the gun for the money. It was common on VAguntrader for people to say something like "no good guy papers, no sale".

I think what he's trying to get at is Trump has moved the timetable up.

Before Trump; all of this would have taken maybe 10-15 more years.

After Trump? The schedule got moved up to within the next few years. They're mad and they want to take it out on Trump & his supporters.

Trump is going after one of their largest and most reliable voting constituencies -- illegal aliens or their offspring that they harvest for votes and money.

So of course they're going to go after what they perceive as the GOP's largest & most reliable constituencies -- gun owners.

The first (of likely many) bills are dropping.

SB 27 Bypass the PLCAA and make it legal for individuals to sue gun
manufacturers for the actions of third party

https://legiscan.com/VA/bill/SB27/2026

SB 38 Raises age limit from 18 to 21 for transfer from prohibited person to non-prohibited person.

Provides that a person who is prohibited from possessing a firearm because the person is subject to a protective order or has been convicted of an assault and battery of a family or household member may transfer a firearm owned by the prohibited person to any person who is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing such firearm, provided that the person who is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing such firearm is 21 years of age or older and does not reside with the person who is subject to the protective order.

You really can’t hate politicians enough.

Given that the 2A is a right acknowledged by the US and Virginia Constitutions…it shouldn’t even matter to gun owners what brand of dickhead is in office.  If they had any integrity they wouldn’t attack it and would focus their energy on more pressing matters.

Yet here we are.

Been watching this thread and reading the wind. My advice, for those that would take it. VA dems are wasting no time. Neither should you. Now is the time to prepare, and we are blessed to have it. While the guy level response is to buy cases of Pmags and every cool gun you may ever want, I suggest a different course.  Have armor, night vision, comms. Have food and cash reserves for when your accounts are frozen.  If you don't have these, sell a cool toy to get them. Have a bolt hole, have multiple bolt holes. Get your fat ass in the best shape possible, train with your equipment instead of taking cool pictures with it. Network with old and trusted friends, accept no new ones with great ideas.

I agree things are coming. I wholeheartedly agree that VA is not like other States, and Appalachian people are not going to go quietly. There is no need to bluster and discuss it online.

The government WILL freeze your bank account and cell phones. They will release stories to the local media making you seem dangerous and crazy. The local media will happily run the story without fact checking. They will execute warrants to seize your means of resistance and terrorize your family. If they are allowed to get you into custody they will make damn sure you are denied reasonable bail and held in the worst place they can find for you to rot. You will be given a show trial in a hostile jurisdiction and a crazy sentence.

DO NOT go into custody. I never will again.

I've said this before on this very site, and I've had it used at a trial against me.

If you dip your toe into the Rubicon, cross it hard and fast. Play for all the marbles. Your enemies will not act in half measures against you. I promise.

Since I'm not already part of somebody's trusted fire team, I'll just be a 'lone wolf.'

BTW, T-Robertson is emphatically right on many key points. I'm old enough to remember Ruby Ridge. I remember how the government spokesmen reported, and their media lackeys dutifully amplified, that Randy Weaver was a 'white separatist,' nutter, hater, anti-social monster. They lied about all of it. The media didn't report as loudly much later on when Randy Weaver got paid a legal settlement by the Feds.

I remember more recently when Big Gov rounded up a Mormon compound somewhere, took bunches of people into custody, separated families on allegations of grooming and sexual abuse. By then, I had better developed my cynicism, and I was not surprised when after all the media hoopla, the government quietly released everybody. Media never came back and reported how all the government claimed had failed to pan out. The lies were the only narrative the common people knew.

So it will be with all liberty lovers in America, with anyone who makes a stand in defense of themselves, their families, or their communities (which BTW is the entire basis & justification for gun rights, explicitly in the case of the PA constitution). Big Gov will lie about everything, their allies in the media will amplify it.

BTW, I'm also old enough to remember when the media considered themselves separate from the government, and self-appointed watchdogs on government failures and abuses. They don't even pretend to be that anymore. Media are Democrat agents, first, last, and always.

Great post.  I am also giving thought to vetting some 2A and civil rights-type attorneys so I will have that resource at the ready.

The 'democracy' narrative is where we are, and advocating a limited constitutional government is actually a radical, countercultural thing.

I've never played Minecraft, but do tribal leaders in that game ever get massively red-flagged by thousands of constituents the day they assume office, if they've made and doubled down on threats of violence against their opponents and families and such threats are public record?

That would seem like a cool game, if so.  Like if the chief LEO became a prohibited person or something.

Meh, he’s right. The Dems flooded the country with 3rd Worlders who, for the most part, reject Western culture and values.
Now, add to their numbers, the self-loathing half of the population that want to see the West die.
Our side is spinning down the drain of numerical irrelevancy. Meanwhile, people here still get hard for ‘legal immigration."

Great post and I'm the least defeatist in this thread BUT, the part about not going into custody and the two paragraphs below that, here's my rebuttal.

They will come at you at your weakest. No, I'm not talking about 2am no knocks. Most of us work a job and that is where you're most vulnerable.

Most folks don't walk around in full kit all day everyday.

If as has been said they know what we have, and I believe they do, they're not going to come at you where you have all that stuff at the ready.

Something to think about...

They don't want us dead. They want us chained up and compliant. Someone needs to support these 'special people' so they are free to exist on a much higher plane than us deplorables.

They hate us because we chose freedom over subservience to whatever that actually is.

I’d say, having just elected an individual that is known to have said he’d kill children to force the opposition to submit to his viewpoint, yes a lot of them do want us dead.

They just want the .gov to do it for them.

Something that needs to be fully digested and come to terms with. Unfortunately we can’t afford the mental gymnastics that’s been played to explain and rationalize things away.

The reality is, a person was just elected that it has been proven made statements they will kill people to get them to bend the knee. Not just individuals, but their children.

That in itself, makes things different from last time and needs to be driven home at every opportunity.

You forgot the part where (ironically) they will accuse us of being bloodthirsty killers for merely owning firearms - all while being willing to kill us over having something they don't like.

There was a time where I felt the other side was just a little confused or perhaps not the most critical thinkers.  That time is gone.  While many of the population are useless lemmings I now believe those in power know exactly what they are doing.  No amount of talking, debating, explaining or even posturing is going to change their minds.  They don't think we're willing to "die on that hill" so they'll keep pushing.  The options to convince them we're willing to "die on that hill" are unpleasant, but that's really what it comes down to.  There's really not much else that can be said in a public setting.....
