My lower back needs to get stronger and I would like some exercise recommendations.  I already do deads, and rows and a history of doing squats.  These apparently have not helped.
I have a very strong upper and middle back.  Today again I tweaked my lower back doing cable rows. Despite proper posture,  my lower back keeps giving,  causing the tweak. I'm unable to get heavy enough to work the rest of my back because of this.  Same with the rows.
I added Hypers,  thinking that should target that area.  What else should I be looking at? The pain is very low.  Below the beltline.  Not lumbar more sacral.

I've used the McKenzie method for reducing pain,  but does it strengthen back muscles?
I do have a yoga book, same question there.

Stop trying to strengthen your back and work on your core.

Stop bar squats and bent rows. Maybe try farmer carries and sled work outs to build core/overall strength

I try to do a lot of pushups and keep my core tight when I do them.  I need to get back in to doing crunches.
I'm pink, therefore, I'm Spam.®

Access to a pool?  I always feel my core is strongest when I can incorporate some swim exercises regularly.

I feel increased core engagement with lighter but higher rep deads. I will drop down to like 185ish-205 and just to 10-15 reps per set.

I have not done a single crunch in 15 years.
I thought squats and deadlifts were core exercises.  Especially when you brace

Do you have sleepy glutes?

Every single time I hurt my lower back is because my glutes aren't doing their job, usually when I've been trucking (sitting) too much.

Largest muscle group in the body. If you warm up with hip thrusts or good mornings and focus on engaging them they tend to "remember" to stay active through the lift.

I get glute cramps even when overhead pressing now, I try to use a butt clench as a cue, but sometimes it doesn't work out.

Do weighted lunges to get dat ass and also to strengthen your core.  Work in some dynamic core movements to help balance out your overall core strength.  I like to use a sandbag and kettlebells as the weight shifts and requires you to stabilize it.

All the hip extensions and core workouts.

Weak glutes often cause lower back pain. Especially weak glute medius and minimus. Lots of good exercises, reverse hypers worked well for me

Lots of mobility. You can add seated back extensions with a dumbbell. Your lower back will be slightly rounded, but you have to do that to contract the spinal erectors.
