| What’s the best bang for your buck on gaming PC. He said he wants to keep his keyboard and screen as he just bought them so I’m looking for a cpu. What are some key words to look for as I have no idea what I’m looking at. Any thing on Black Friday deals I should look at? I’d say 500-1500 range of if I can get a good one. |

A decent Intel setup for a cpu and Asus board will run $600. Add memory, graphics, NvME drive, case and power supply - you are looking at around $1300 total. I’d there is a Micro Center near you - see what they have. I like Newegg for many deals: Link |

There is a Microcenter in Charlotte NC if you're near there OP. Most of the folks who work at my local one in MN do love computers and gaming and could easily help you spend money. https://www.microcenter.com/site/stores/charlotte.aspx |

My prices may be a little dated but a good AMD chip and a decent mobo will probably run around $350-400. I'm $1200, maybe a little less, into a 7700X, ASRock B650M Pro RS Wifi board, 32GB Team Group RAM (ram prices are now stupid), 850w PSU, RTX4070OC, 1TB 990 EVO M.2, and a cheapo CoolerMaster case. |
