Trump declares victory in historic deal with Greenland as he secures 'permanent' US military rights (Page 2 of 5)

So... Basically no change. The USA already has military bases in Greenland; who was never ever going to host a Russian or Chinese military base. How am I the only one eye-rolling at this? Thule Military Installation

Ultimately, I blame Denmark for much of this. They should have fucking JUMPED at the chance to unload Greenland to the U.S. as soon as he raised it (back in his first term). A three-way negotiation between the U.S., Denmark and the self-government of Greenland could have resulted in an amazing deal that would have made everyone better off. Sure, Trump handled it poorly and shot himself in the foot with his brash approach, but if Denmark had really thought it through and started serious negotiations, all of this nonsense and bullshit could have been avoided. But instead, everyone went with their knee-jerk reactions and we ended up with something not much better than the status quo. Just like when the fucking Germans didn't listen to him when he warned them about their dependence on Russian oil/gas. Trump is usually completely right, but people don't fucking listen. ![]() |

WOW..your smiley freak obviously means you are the smartest man in the room when it is childish. China had established some mineral rights in Greenland. Does the part of the agreement with Greenland that restricts non nato countries (China) from sensitive sectors. Would that include rare earth minerals. This is all part of removing China from gains in North and South America. Venezuela, Panama and now Greenland. Maybe you should wear that smiley freak as a hat. |
