My wife gave me the Slumberjack Roadhouse for my birthday last month. I've used it thrice so far and I'm pretty impressed. Set up the first time was a challenge- the instructions aren't great- and I had to have an extra set of hands. But the second and third I set it up by myself and it was a breeze. Works well on my truck with a bed cover, and my Jeep. With the truck (no topper) being lower, there was enough head room to stand in the middle, and even towards the edges sitting in a folding chair still had enough head room. With the jeep of course head room wasn't an issue anywhere under the tarp. I wish the shock-corded poles were composite rather than steel, but since this thing is designed for use with a vehicle, weight isn't a big deal anyway. I have not tried to set it up as a stand-alone shelter yet. Attached File Attached File |

Nice I just got a similar Kelty for when we park on the beach with the 4Runner. I like that the one you got has 2 steel poles for multiple configurations. I shouldve researched more beyond the 25% coupon Kelty had

The instructions say the two pole with vehicle is possible by yourself. I can't see how you could set up the two pole without vehicle without some help. |
