Moved into our current house in Oct 2022. All kitchen appliances are stainless steel GE brand - Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove. Appliances seem to be 2012 -2013 vintage and have been working as intended, except as described next. Refrigerator is a GE Model PSS26MSWA SS. The icemaker worked great until about a year ago. It quit working right after a power failure in the neighborhood. I looked up the reset procedure online, and followed the instructions, but no luck getting it to restart. But I also noticed that the water dispense feature in the door is now intermittent at times, and not very strong. I have replaced the water filter. So, could it be the water valve / solenoid on the back of the refrigerator? Thanks for looking. |
| No idea, but I did replace my water flow solenoid once and it was very easy. Recently, my in door water failed and I was about to pull the fridge out and check the solenoid again. Pretty sure the water line had frozen cause I tried it one more time and it spit little ice chunks and then water. |
If life was easy nobody would quit.
