Lucky me, I have three 1-year old cats, one of which produced a litter of five and four have made it out of kittenhood. I want to get them all fixed and let them live out their lives outside. What I am wondering about is the process of care after they have been vetted. Shots, no big deal. But after surgery are they able to just be set loose again? I certainly cannot keep them inside as they are just barely comfortable around me when I feed them. So, any input will be appreciated. Thanks. |

The no kill animal center near me will lend out HavaHart traps specifically for feral cats, then they inoculate, spay and adopt them out. |

We're out in the country, our only neighbor in site now has 9-11 cats, that spend 95% of their time at our place, even though we have 2 big dogs that overwatch and patrol the back yard. I told the wife not to feed them as they will just multiply... Just saw 3 more itty bitties this morning. To be fair though, they are earning their keep. I've not seen a mouse, rat or evidence that there may be one since the cats have taken over the front acreage. I come home from work and as I pull up the drive, I see Beans and Mungo stalking meece... I guess as long as they are earning their keep and the wife happy, I won't disappear them. |
