I really enjoyed the I-III games back in the day on PS1 and 2. After that life got in the way and I never played a y of the series beyond that. I just got the remastered versions and it is a load of fun so far. You can toggle between the original graphics and the new graphics with a button press, and choose between the original and modern control schemes. There are a few complex control combinations that might be hard to pull off under time pressure. But I am really enjoying the puzzles and the environments. I remember thinking the old graphics were so good back in the 90's.  It's fun to toggle them and see how bad they were. Even the remastered versions are crude, but not so crude as to offset the nostalgia.Anyone else play these? I had been doing a re-play of Skyrim but kind of lost interest, and these are hitting the spot now. |

Yeah I have had to cheat and watch a couple of youtube walkthroughs. It's been so long ago that almost none of it is familiar, which is nice because it's almost like a new game. I do struggle with the timed puzzles because my reflexes arwnt what they were the first time I played them. Lots of great nostalgia though. There are a few levels that I still remember bits of (even after all this time) just because of how awseome they were at the time. |
