| What are some of your thoughts on IREN for long term growth? Picked up a few shares few days ago... |
| Seems to have rebounded nicely from the sudden drops starting late last week. I had just put a stake down the day before it happened and couldn't get out of it fast enough. Cost me a few thousand bucks for the adventure and in hindsight, wish I'd have stayed in but just wasn't expecting nor looking for trouble so l bailed quickly. I've read good things about the company but I kind of freak out on the whole bitcoin thing and not at all comfortable with it, so.. I'm out of it until they shed the mining and are totally focused on the data centers and renewable energy aspects. |
Now fellate me, as I eat this expensive ham.

+3% today at peak. I’m avoiding this one due to 3 red-ish flags: -the coinminer turned datacenter thing -the keyword salad in the “about” blurb, making sure to use every bubblicious hype word available in 2025 -everyone’s been talking about it, and inserting it into tangentially related convo At least its earnings are positive, but it’s P/E is 160. I’m ok with crazy ratios in [some] ETFs, but I avoid them in individual stocks unless I think I know something, and even then I’m cautious because a perfectly positive outlook is already priced in…how to beat expectations when the priced in expectation is threading the needle to taking over the world? Half a mil of revenue, with a 17.7 Bil market cap. NBIS, for example, has less than 2x the market cap with 230x the revenue. I don’t know enough about the industry to pick very often from it, but the fundamentals don’t appear to justify the hype. |

IREN has a rather stretched PE and received a lot of hype (demand) driven growth, with a lot of future priced in, so it’s getting punched in the mouth. 2) Share dilution (increased supply) 1) Do you believe AI datacenters, specifically IREN have peaked, can’t supplement their revenue, and will now bleed for years? 2) Do you think share dilution won’t be offset in the future by buybacks or continuing/increasing demand? I’m holding, and I say that as someone cautious about the sector. The dilution concerns don’t change the business otherwise. If they can execute on the Microsoft deal, more positive news will come, and better exit points will materialize. In the tech industry, Microsoft is essentially a proxy for the US Gov’t, and every subordinate level of government, and everyone that does business with the Gov’t. |

I’m back above water on all 3 of my neocloud datacenter positions…at the same time. Let’s see if that holds. Analyst price targets for IREN have been heading up; I think the average is implying like 50% upside over the next year. Or something along that scale. IREN’s short interest/float are trending downwards. Coreweave is well past IPO lockup now, which should help with sentiment on this theme. |
