I have had a steel and gold datejust since 2006. It is fine. I wear it a couple of times a week. Lately I have been thinking about a Day - Date. 36 mm is the size I like. 118238? Probably a champagne face with sticks and square diamonds on the hours. Don't care about box or papers. What are the things to look for and to look out for when purchasing a used Day - Date? Who are reputable dealers from which to purchase? Thanks!  |

1) try on & make sure you really like the 36mm!! 2) Budget around 27k - 35k < are you going 36mm to save money or cause you honestly like the size > ??? 3) Check the bracelet for wear!! 3) A check the link count !!! 4) the dial you pictured is $MORE$ than other dials. Watch if it has been swapped or original <this comes to carefully choosing who you do business with > 5) it is a 36mm. Ladies like the bigger watch. Get ready for the wife to try & steal it...... 6) I got the older reference in 36mm. Saved about 10k!! Just MAKE sure it is a double quick set if you go with the older reference |

I have not made a final determination of the dial. As of now the sticks and squares diamonds is what I like best. I am not concerned about resale, only getting what I like. Box and papers are don't cares. I can pay less. Who are reputable resellers is a question I asked. 5. No wife. 6. 118238 should cover everything.
