I have a modular 1u PSU in a 1u chassis. Tiny on the inside, perfect for my needs, but man is airflow an issue. I have to much thick rigid cable bent, crushed, smashed, zip tied into oblivion... Still, *so* much space is being taken up by all this extra cable length and its blocking two of the three 40mm intake fans. Not really interested in making them myself, but wondering if I can buy shorter, thinner, more flexible, or all of the above PSU cables for a modular? Thanks. |

They can vary even if the connector is the same. They can have different pin outs even within the same brand. PSU's are one of those things where there are only a small handful of actual OEM's. So one of line PSU's can be made by one OEM and another line is from a different OEM despite being sold under the same brand name. You should not swap cables between them. |
